Chapter 1501

A man and a woman sat at a table, appearing luxurious and refined despite their varying appearances and attire. The man looked haggard, his face and lips pale, suggesting chronic illness, perhaps even a terminal condition. The woman, however, was strikingly beautiful and well-maintained, bearing a seven-point resemblance to Stefanie and appearing to be in her thirties.

Charlie Wade instantly recognized them as Orrin Sun, a childhood acquaintance, and his wife, Angie. They, too, recognized him.

Orrin's expression was one of profound shock. His already thin face was drawn, his eyes wide and trembling. He tried to speak, but seemed unable to.

Angie, equally stunned, stood, pointing at Charlie with one hand while covering her mouth with the other. "You you you are Wade Charlie Wade?!"

Charlie's nose tingled. He sighed softly, his voice trembling, "Angie, it's me, Charlie Wade"

He then turned to the trembling Orrin. "Uncle Orrin hello! Angie, how are you?"

Orrin mumbled, "Are you really Charlie Wade?"

Charlie nodded solemnly. "Uncle Orrin, it's me. Do you still recognize me?"

"Recognize recognize" Orrin wiped away tears. "You're just like your father when he was young, and similar to photos of your grandfather "

He stood with difficulty and walked toward Charlie, who hurried to support him. "Uncle Orrin, I'm so sorry for all the worry you and Aunt Angie have endured these years."

Orrin wept. "Charlie Wade, where have you been all these years? I've searched the world for you, to no avail"

Charlie sighed. "Uncle Orrin, I've been in Aurous Hill all these years. I grew up in an orphanage until I was eighteen."

"What?!" Orrin exclaimed. "I've been to Aurous Hill many times, searching welfare homes, orphanages, and shelters, but never found you."

Charlie explained, "Stephen Thompson, the Wade family's former housekeeper, secretly took over the orphanage. He hid my information to protect me. I only recently discovered the truth after meeting your daughter and questioning Thompson."

Orrin was stunned. "So that's it! Stephen Thompson was loyal to your father. What a mistake to think otherwise!"

Chapter 1502

Orrin choked up. "All these years, I thought you were gone"

Tears streamed down his face. "Charlie Wade, my son is back! I finally have a reason to live."

He coughed violently. Angie dabbed his tears and patted his back. "Old Orrin, don't cry! Your health isn't good. You can't handle such emotional turmoil."

Calming slightly, Orrin took Charlie's hand. "Charlie Wade, sit. Tell your uncle about these years." He then turned to Stefanie. "Daisy, how did you and Charlie meet?!"

Stefanie's eyes were red. "Dad, I'm sorry I kept it from you. I met Charlie while in Aurous Hill for a commercial endorsement. I wanted to surprise you both."

Orrin nodded repeatedly. "A surprise! A wonderful surprise!" He clasped Charlie's hands. "Charlie Wade, no matter what you've been through, it's good to be back. Don't go back to Aurous Hill. Your marriage to Daisy was arranged by your parents and us. Your fiancée awaits you. Let's have the wedding before I'm gone!"

Charlie felt embarrassed and guilty.

Angie quickly interjected, "Charlie Wade, don't feel pressured. This home is yours. Whether you return to the Wade family or not, you're our son-in-law."

Charlie contrasted Angie with his own mother-in-law, finding an immense difference.

Stefanie spoke hesitantly. "Dad, Mom, Charlie he's already married"

The couple were dumbfounded. Charlie confessed his guilt. Orrin sighed, patting Charlie's shoulder. "Charlie Wade, I don't know what you've been through, but I can guess it was difficult. Many things are beyond our control. Let's talk about it later. Tell me everything."

Angie nodded. "We can discuss the marriage contract later. Let's eat first."

Chapter 1503

Orrin pulled Charlie to a seat. "Charlie Wade, let's eat. Tell me if you like the food. If not, we'll have something else prepared."

Charlie politely declined further fuss. Orrin then inquired about Charlie's life.

Charlie was open with them, except for highly sensitive secrets. He recounted his childhood, his life after eighteen, his acquaintance with Mr. Wilson, his marriage to Claire Wilson, and their life together.

Orrin and Angie were distressed. They knew Charlie was a direct descendant of the Wade family, and should have lived a life of luxury, not hardship.

Orrin sighed, then asked, "Charlie Wade, what are your plans? Will you return to the Wade family?"

Charlie shook his head. "Uncle Orrin, I suspect the Wade family had a hand in my parents' deaths. I won't return until I know the truth."

Orrin advised, "Don't become enemies with the Wade family, but don't let them off the hook either."

Charlie responded, "It's not up to me, but to the facts. If they killed my parents, I will seek revenge."

Orrin sighed. "I haven't found definitive proof of foul play. But the Wade family’s actions forced your parents to leave Eastcliff, leading to their deaths in Aurous Hill."

Charlie agreed. Orrin added, "The Wade family offered you a $100 billion company and billions in cash. Consider it compensation. If you don't want to return, you'll have enough to live comfortably. You've suffered enough."

Chapter 1504

Charlie shook his head. "Uncle Orrin, their blood flows in my veins. I must avenge them."

Angie sighed, her eyes red. "Charlie's personality is just like his father. You couldn't dissuade his father, and you can't dissuade Charlie."

Orrin nodded, looking at Charlie and Stefanie. "Charlie, focus on returning to Eastcliff and marrying your fiancée first. Even without officially rejoining the Wade family, you'll be a son of the Sun family. I'll set you up so you can utilize our resources."

Angie agreed. "Charlie, your marriage contract with our daughter predates your current marriage. We will compensate Claire with a billion dollars. It's not her fault."

Charlie felt embarrassed. He worried about how to tell them about his marriage. He wouldn't abandon Claire for Stefanie.

Angie then revealed Orrin's worsening condition. "Your uncle may not have much time left. Your parents didn't live to see you marry. We hope your uncle doesn't share the same regret"

Stefanie wept silently. Charlie felt pity for her.

Chapter 1505

Orrin coughed. "Charlie Wade, it's time for your dragon to rise again." He sighed, "The Sun family can't make you a tycoon, but with our support, you'll have the confidence to reclaim what is yours in the Wade family."

Charlie felt ashamed that they wanted him to marry Stefanie. Orrin continued, "I was ready to forgo treatment, but seeing you has given me a will to live. My greatest wish is to see you and my daughter married. And to hold my grandchildren. Even if I suffer, it'll be worth it."

Stefanie cried. Orrin smiled. "I'm not being dramatic. This is what I truly feel." He looked at Angie. "Call Dean Han at Fairview. I want active treatment. I want to live to see my daughter married and to hold my grandchildren."

Angie nodded eagerly. She'd been urging him to treat his cancer, but Orrin had given up due to the intense pain.

But now, he wanted to live, to see his daughter married, to see his family line continue. He was willing to endure any pain to fulfill these wishes.

Then Charlie spoke, "Aunt Angie, I came to help Uncle Orrin. I can cure him."

"What?!"
