Chapter 1701

Seeing Charlie Wade surrounded by bodyguards, Zara concluded he was in trouble. However, she felt no sympathy. She hadn't witnessed the incident's beginning; she only saw Wade chasing a man, who was then hit by a car and suffered broken arms. This seemed cruel enough, but Wade's refusal to accept responsibility and his argument with the Takahashi family heir, Eiji Takahashi, seemed utterly foolish.

Eiji Takahashi, impatient with the delay, ordered his bodyguards: "Attack! Throw him in the trash!"

The bodyguards, more than ten strong men, had been waiting for this command. They swarmed Wade, eager to prove themselves to their young master. They considered it a simple matter: overwhelming numbers against one man. Each was a top-level fighter; any hesitation could cost them the chance to shine.

As the bodyguards closed in, Takahashi sneered, "A Chinese man dares to confront me in downtown Japan? Suicide!" He added, regretfully, "Unfortunately, as the Takahashi heir, I can't personally attack him in public. Otherwise, I'd do it myself!"

Takahashi expected an easy victory, but instead, screams of pain erupted from the encirclement. Several bodyguards were flung out, one landing at Takahashi's feet. The man, his forehead bleeding profusely, gasped, "Young…master…" He then vomited a large amount of blood onto Takahashi's trousers, staining them crimson.

Takahashi recoiled in horror. The bodyguard, struggling to speak, whispered, "Master…that bastard…so…powerful…" He then collapsed unconscious.

Takahashi was stunned. These were elite fighters, yet they were easily defeated? Before he could react, more bodyguards fell, like bowling pins. Only Takahashi and Wade remained.

Chapter 1702

Fitz and Zara, watching from their car, were shocked. Fitz exclaimed, "This kid…is incredibly strong!" Zara, equally stunned, admitted, "He's a top expert. I underestimated him."

Wade, having dispatched the bodyguards, approached Takahashi, who trembled in fear, paralyzed with terror. Knowing escape was impossible, he stammered, "What do you want?! I'm the Takahashi heir!"

Wade slapped Takahashi hard across the face, coldly stating, "I don't care who you are. You owe me two arms."

The slap stunned Takahashi. Spoiled and pampered his entire life, he'd never been struck, let alone in public. Humiliated, he roared, "You dare hit me?! You'll pay!"

Wade calmly patted Takahashi's face, saying, "Just a taste. You owe me two arms." Without further words, he broke Takahashi's right arm with a twist. Takahashi cried out in agony.

Wade remained impassive: "That's one. Now, your left arm."

Terrified, Takahashi knelt, begging for mercy. Wade responded, "Be a man and accept the consequences." He added, "Think begging will stop me?"

Takahashi, realizing Wade was serious, offered 100 million yen. Wade refused, stating, "Even 100 billion won't save your arm."

Chapter 1703

Zara, unable to bear watching, intervened. "Sir, you're Chinese. Show some mercy."

Wade, surprised by her intervention, asked coldly, "You're Chinese, too? Interceding for this Japanese?"

Zara clarified, "I'm not pleading, just advising you to show restraint."

Wade countered, "He had a dozen men attack me. Why didn't you stop him?"

Zara, caught off guard, argued that since Wade wasn't injured, he should show restraint.

Wade retorted, "He showed me no mercy, why should I show him any?" Zara insisted Wade was wrong for chasing and fighting in the street, leading to the accident.

Wade asked, "Do you know why I chased him?" Zara didn't care, stating that street fighting was unacceptable. She accused Wade of needlessly attacking Takahashi.

Wade scoffed, "Why are you defending these two thugs?"

Zara retorted, "One was involved in a car accident you caused, the other crippled by you!"

Wade called her superficial, believing only what she saw. He argued Takahashi's actions were unwarranted; had he been weaker, he would have been killed.

Zara angrily insisted that breaking one arm was enough. Wade coldly replied, "Not enough. I need two."

Chapter 1704

Zara knew Takahashi was at fault but hoped Wade would stop. As a business genius, she understood the implications of Takahashi being incapacitated for their business dealings. Her intervention was based on reason, emotion, and self-interest. Ideally, she’d gain face with both parties.

However, Wade's hostility was unexpected. Before Zara could identify herself, Wade interrupted, stating he wouldn't show her any deference, regardless of her identity.

This angered Zara; she was accustomed to respect. She declared she'd make him regret his actions. Before she could finish, Wade broke Takahashi's other arm.

Zara furiously confronted him; Wade dismissed her, claiming he didn't know her and didn't care. He then returned the money he'd taken from a thug to the singer he'd rescued and left. Zara angrily shouted at his retreating back.

Chapter 1705

Ignoring Zara's anger, Charlie Wade left. Zara, accustomed to respect, felt deeply humiliated. Her pride was wounded, but she knew she couldn't confront him.

Takahashi, his arms broken, approached Zara, demanding information about Wade. The singer claimed ignorance. Zara rebuked Takahashi for intimidating the girl, reminding him of his own arrogance.

Takahashi, aware of Zara's family’s power and his own fault, subdued his anger. Zara questioned the singer about Wade’s intervention, learning he'd helped her after a gang stole her money and guitar. Zara frowned, questioning if the man who was hit by the car was a fugitive.
