Iga Shangren hissed, “Don’t lie! You came to save her!”

Charlie Wade replied calmly, “No. I came to Kyoto to visit my friend, Miss Nanako Ito. Your men harassed the Ito family, leading me here.”

Shame washed over Iga Shangren. He’d believed Charlie Wade was a Banks Family member, sent to rescue Zara and Fitz, making them bargaining chips. Instead, Charlie Wade was there for Nanako Ito, and Iga Shangren had walked right into a trap.
