The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 1776-1780
Chapter 1776
They met again: Charlie Wade. His expression remained unchanged. He lightly rubbed his toes against the ground, launching a shard of broken glass at Iga Shangren with incredible speed. Instantly, he propelled a second shard in the same direction.
Iga Shangren, mid-rush, saw two glittering projectiles, like shooting stars, flash past. Before he could react, he felt a sharp pain in his right wrist, followed immediately by the same searing pain in his left. His hands went numb, and his ninja sword clattered to the ground. Simultaneously, two crimson sprays erupted, the unmistakable stench of blood filling the air. He realized, horrified, that his wrists had been severed.
Charlie Wade lunged forward, seizing Iga Shangren by the neck and lifting his 200-pound body. Heโd cleverly avoided the other ninjas, surprising them. They anticipated a breakout, not a direct confrontation with their strongest member. Yet, Charlie Wade chose precisely thatโthe hardest challenge.
Iga Shangren, hoisted in the air, wrists bleeding profusely, was helpless. His arms were useless below the wrists, rendering him completely defenseless. Charlie Wade carried him through the hall, smashing him against a wall, holding him suspended thirty centimeters above the ground. Iga Shangren clung to the wall, his legs kicking, his face turning dark purple from suffocation.
The onlookers were terrified, especially the Iga ninjas. Their worldview shattered. Their awe was palpable; this Chinese man was superhuman, a godlike figure whoโd reduced their formidable Iga Shangren to a broken husk. They marveled at his brutal, absolute dominance.
Charlie Wadeโs expression was icy, yet a cruel smile played on his lips. He sneered, โSo this is Japanese ninjutsu? Pathetic!โ
Chapter 1777
Charlie Wade's words intensified the fear. They now understood: he'd precisely severed Iga Shangren's hand muscles with two flicked shards of glass. While kicking the glass wasn't difficult, the pinpoint accuracy to sever muscles at high speed was impossible. Iga Shangren had been moving aggressively; to be injured this way at that speed was unbelievable.
His one-handed incapacitation of Iga Shangren was equally incredible. The sheer strength on display was astounding.
Zara watched, dumbfounded. In her eyes, Charlie Wade was a god, pinning Iga Shangren to the wall.
Iga Shangren struggled, but Charlie Wadeโs grip was unshakeable. Gasping, he croaked, โWhoโฆ are you?โ
Charlie Wade smiled. โI am your Chinese father.โ
Iga Shangrenโs face, and the faces of the others, contorted with revulsion. However, no one dared attack. They knew Charlie Wade could easily snap Iga Shangrenโs neck.
Iga Shangren gritted his teeth, โWe have no quarrel. What do you want?โ
Charlie Wade smiled. โYour life. And theirs.โ He gestured to the other ninjas.
The ninjas recoiled, knives drawn, yet fear etched on their faces.
Iga Shangren yelled, โBind that woman! Now!โ
A ninja lunged, knife to Zara's throat. โRelease him, or she dies!โ
Charlie Wade hummed. โKill her if you like. I donโt know her.โ
Iga Shangren hissed, โDonโt lie! You came to save her!โ
Charlie Wade replied calmly, โNo. I came to Kyoto to visit my friend, Miss Nanako Ito. Your men harassed the Ito family, leading me here.โ
Shame washed over Iga Shangren. Heโd believed Charlie Wade was a Banks Family member, sent to rescue Zara and Fitz, making them bargaining chips. Instead, Charlie Wade was there for Nanako Ito, and Iga Shangren had walked right into a trap.
Chapter 1778
Charlie Wade sneered, โBy your logic, killing two people and burying your family in the snow wouldnโt be harming you?โ
Iga Shangren was taken aback. Desperate, he implicated Matsumoto Ryoto, claiming he was the one who wanted to harm the Ito family.
Charlie Wade countered, โYouโre being used, and you say it โdoesnโt matterโ? Are ninja bones this soft?โ
Iga Shangren, suppressing his humiliation, pleaded, โWeโll do anythingโฆ Please, give us a chance.โ
Charlie Wade shook his head. โYouโre not qualified.โ He looked around. โPrepare to die.โ
Iga Shangren roared, โAttack! Kill him! We might live!โ
They knew a head-on assault was suicide. Their only hope was to overwhelm him.
Six ninjas charged, their expressions savage.
Zaraโs heart pounded. She remained silent, knowing interference would hinder Charlie Wade. She watched him with fervent hope, her life depending on him.
Chapter 1779
Charlie Wade remained unfazed. As six swords descended, he used Iga Shangrenโs body as a shield. Iga Shangren screamed, โStop!โ but the swords fell, hacking him repeatedly. Iga Shangren died amidst screams of agony, cursing his men.
The ninjas blanched, seeing their leader murdered by their own blades. Charlie Wade launched Iga Shangrenโs corpse, sending it flying with the embedded knives.
Stunned, the ninjasโ intent to fight evaporated; some fled.
Charlie Wade sneered, โYou attacked; now itโs my turn.โ
He moved with blinding speed, delivering crushing blows to each fleeing ninja, instantly incapacitating them.
Zara was astonished. Sheโd seen Banks Family masters, yet Charlie Wadeโs power surpassed them all. This man redefined the limits of martial arts in her mind.
Relieved, Zara exclaimed, โThank you! What is your name? I must repay your kindness!โ
Chapter 1780
Charlie Wade turned to Zara. He found her beautiful, yet disliked her arrogant personality. He found her beauty cold and pretentious, repelling him.
He stated calmly, โWho I am is none of your concern. I didn't save you; I killed them. Youโre welcome.โ
Zara, unused to being underestimated, could only nod respectfully.
Charlie Wade freed her and her brother. Fitz, having seen nothing, recognized Charlie Wadeโs voice, and expressed his gratitude.
Charlie Wade told them to flee; heโd set the building on fire.
Zara asked to borrow his phone to call home (secretly wanting his number), but Charlie Wade refused, tossing her a ninja's phone instead. He also gave her 50,000 yen.
Zara wanted to reveal her identity, but fear of alienating him caused her to suppress it.
She bowed deeply, thanking him profusely. Fitz echoed her gratitude.
Charlie Wade waved them away, stating he had more pressing matters. Zara hugged him before leaving, expressing her profound gratitude, but Charlie Wade stated coldly that he would not see her again.
