The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 1771-1775
Chapter 1771
Fitz and Zara, brother and sister, were abducted from Tokyo and taken to a house less than two kilometers from Kyoto. Iga clan ninjas guarded them, awaiting Ryoto Matsumoto's order. Upon receiving it, they would kill the siblings and transport their bodies to the Ito family mansion. However, to facilitate transport, they needed to kill them shortly after death—within an hour, while the bodies remained pliable. Iga ninjas are renowned assassins; they prefer to move corpses within this timeframe.
Ten minutes earlier, Matsumoto had called, instructing them to assess the Ito mansion's security, identify its weaknesses, and find a suitable hiding place for the bodies before killing Fitz and Zara. One ninja infiltrated the mansion, scouting the location. Charlie Wade observed this ninja in Nanako Ito's room. The ninja photographed a secluded courtyard, then left.
Wade revealed himself, telling Nanako he was going to investigate. Nanako pleaded with him not to go, fearing for his safety. Wade, resolute in his commitment to her protection, insisted on confronting the potential threat head-on. Nanako, deeply moved by his unwavering loyalty, professed her love for him.
Chapter 1772
Wade left Nanako's room, pursuing the ninja. The ninja, agile and swift, moved through the snowy night. Unbeknownst to him, Wade, far superior in skill, followed closely behind. The ninja reached a courtyard, knocked a coded signal on the door, entered, and disappeared inside. Wade silently scaled the wall, observing the courtyard and its two-story building.
He sensed six or seven people inside. He approached the building and overheard the ninja briefing his superior, a "Master Shang Ninja," on the Ito mansion's weak security and the identified hiding place for the bodies in a secluded courtyard with a pine forest. The ninja showed the Shang Ninja photos of the location. The Shang Ninja confirmed the suitability of the hiding spot and inquired about the timing of the killings.
Zara, bound and gagged, struggled, catching the Shang Ninja's attention. He removed her gag and offered her a chance to speak.
Chapter 1773
Wade recognized Zara as the woman from the Rolls Royce incident. Zara offered a large sum of money to spare her and her brother. The Shang Ninja refused, stating their loyalty to Matsumoto and the consequences of betraying the ninja code. Zara then offered one billion dollars to leave Japan and never assassinate again; even this didn't sway him. She warned them that her family would relentlessly pursue them if they killed her, but the Ninja explained their plan to frame Ito Yuhiko.
Zara realized Matsumoto was behind the plot; he intended to weaken the Ito family and possibly the Takahashi family by using the siblings' deaths to incite conflict. She regretted not meeting with Matsumoto when he offered. Fitz, also bound, could only whimper. The Shang Ninja called Matsumoto, reporting on their findings and awaiting further instructions.
Chapter 1774
Matsumoto requested they delay the killings, wanting to enjoy the ensuing chaos in Tokyo. He then added a chilling request: to make the siblings' deaths as gruesome as possible to maximize the outrage of their family and further destabilize Tokyo. He specifically instructed them to abuse Zara before killing her to fuel the conflict against Ito Yuhiko. The Shang Ninja expressed his excitement at the prospect of abusing Zara, and Matsumoto encouraged them to record the abuse for added impact.
Zara begged for a quick death. The Shang Ninja and the others laughed at her plea.
Chapter 1775
Suddenly, Charlie Wade's voice interrupted them: "A group of beasts, bullying a girl!" The ninjas were shocked by his unexpected appearance. Wade burst through a window. Zara was stunned to see her rescuer.
Wade confronted the ninjas, insulting their actions and vowing revenge. The Shang Ninja, enraged, ordered his men to attack. Wade, unfazed, stood his ground, prepared to fight. The ninjas, using a swarming tactic and poison-tipped blades, lunged at him. Wade scoffed at their strategy, ready to defend himself against the attack.
