Chapter 1796

Hiroshi Tanaka sighed, turned to his driver, and said, "Brother Yamamoto, let's jump together later!"

The driver wiped his brow, nodded, and replied, "Okay! I'll be with you."

By this time, Ito Takehiko's two personal ninjas were critically wounded. Seeing they were moments from death, Tanaka Hiroshi shouted, "Mr. Ito, Brother Yamamoto! Now!"

Ito Takehiko quickly opened his door. Simultaneously, the driver opened his door, preparing to exit the vehicle. However, the driver's side was directly in front of the Iga ninja. One ninja, seeing the driver's attempt to escape, lunged forward and plunged a throwing knife into his heart. The blade pierced the Rolls-Royce's door.

The driver died instantly.

Witnessing the driver's murder, Ito Takehiko trembled, his legs giving way. Although a seasoned businessman, he'd never experienced such terror. Age had also diminished his courage. He crouched on the ground, unable to climb the meter-high guardrail.

The ninja who killed the driver noticed Ito Takehiko and Tanaka Hiroshi fleeing the car, apparently intending to jump from the bridge. He shouted, "Quick! Ito Takehiko is escaping!" He drew his sword, climbed onto the car's roof, and pursued Ito Takehiko.

Seeing Ito Takehiko's escape attempt, the other ninjas attacked Ito Takehiko's remaining bodyguards, then swarmed after him.

Ito Takehiko's legs weakened further. He couldn't even stand. Just as Koichi Tanaka was about to climb over the guardrail, he desperately shoved Ito Takehiko, shouting, "Mr. Ito! Grab my hand! We must jump, or we die!"

Ito Takehiko, spurred to action, grasped Tanaka Hiroshi's hand. With Tanaka's desperate push, he leaped over the viaduct's guardrail. As he almost lost his balance, he looked back gratefully at Koichi Tanaka, shouting, "Koichi! Don't give up!"

Tanaka Hiroshi nodded, pushed harder, sending Ito Takehiko over. He then quickly followed, jumping from the bridge just as several ninjas' knives were about to strike.

One after another, they plunged from the ten-meter-high highway bridge. Ito Takehiko desperately hoped a truck full of soft goods would break their fall. Instead, only hard pavement awaited.

Chapter 1797

Before impact, Ito Takehiko remembered Tanaka's words: "As long as you don't land face-down, you have a chance to survive." He adjusted his body mid-air, landing legs-first.

With a thud, Ito Takehiko felt excruciating pain in his legs. Ignoring the injuries, he rolled several times to lessen the impact of the fall. Koichi Tanaka followed, landing similarly and rolling. Their legs were broken, but their lives were saved by their landing posture. Ito Takehiko's knees, calves, ankles, and feet were unrecognizable. Koichi Tanaka's injuries were equally horrific.

Passersby were shocked; some women screamed. Several people rushed to help, asking, "Gentlemen, how are you? Shall we call an ambulance?"

Ito Takehiko cried, "Call the police! Someone's chasing us!"

Everyone looked up at the bridge. Six ninjas stood at the guardrail, staring down in disbelief.

One ninja asked, "Boss, what now?"

The boss, enraged that his prey had escaped, barked, "Fifth and Sixth, they can't move! Jump down and kill them!"

The two ninjas recoiled. One protested, "Boss, seven or eight meters is one thing, but fifteen? We'd be worse off than them!"

The other agreed, "The landing posture saved them. If we're not precise, we'll die!"

The boss's face darkened. He knew he couldn't force them. He gritted his teeth, "Get in the car! We'll kill them before the police and ambulance arrive!"

As they turned to leave, they heard the roar of helicopters. Four police helicopters approached from different directions.

One ninja gasped, "It's the Special Operations Team!"

Tokyo's Special Operations Team was elite, equipped with American-style weaponry, making them superior to ninjas. The helicopters gave them an even greater advantage.

The Iga ninja boss panicked, yelling, "Run!"

The five remaining ninjas fled in two cars. The Special Operations Team split; two helicopters provided ground support, while two pursued the escaping ninjas.

Chapter 1798

On the viaduct, the ninjas had nowhere to hide. The helicopters quickly caught up. As they tried to escape, the helicopters fired armor-piercing rounds into the cars' hoods. The engines were instantly destroyed, and the vehicles slowed to a stop.

The ninjas were terrified. They tried to flee but found themselves surrounded by the Special Forces who had rapidly descended from the helicopters. Twenty special forces officers forced their surrender.

Meanwhile, Ito Takehiko and Koichi Tanaka were taken to the hospital.

Chapter 1799

Matsumoto, at home, felt the thrill of his gamble, but was nervous about potential accidents. He believed Ito Takehiko's death was imminent, so he called the Iga ninjas. The call failed, as had previous calls to his men in Kyoto.

His assistant rushed in, "Guild Master, the Iga ninjas are in trouble!"

"What?!"

"Six were arrested. Ito Takehiko and Tanaka Koichi fell from the viaduct but are not dead."

Matsumoto cursed, "Ito Takehiko escaped?! Those Iga ninjas are trash!"

Matsumoto threw his whiskey glass, shattering it. A woman's voice echoed, "Mr. Matsumoto has quite a temper!"

Matsumoto and his assistant were startled. A woman in her twenties entered. Matsumoto demanded, "Who are you?! How did you get in?!"

The woman sneered, "I walked in."

Matsumoto backed away, "What do you want?!"

The woman said coldly, "You kidnapped the Banks children and assassinated over ten of our family. I'm here to take your life!"

Chapter 1800

Matsumoto was shocked the Banks family had found him. He trembled, "My house is heavily guarded! How did you get in?!"

The woman smirked, "Doesn't matter how many guards there are. I killed them all. Including your family—36 people are dead. Only you two remain."

She continued, "You killed over a dozen of our family. We're collecting interest."

Matsumoto paled, "You you killed my whole family?!"

"Yes," she nodded. "But we're civilized. Your family died peacefully from poison."

Matsumoto's legs weakened. He fell onto the sofa, his muscles trembling. He asked, "Why my family? I've never killed a child! My son is ten; my daughter is eight!"

The woman smiled coldly, "You plotted against the Banks family. You reap what you sow."

Matsumoto roared, "You're beasts! Devils!"

The woman said, "So what? You should have considered the consequences." Matsumoto's hope rested on his eldest son from his first marriage, whom he'd abandoned years ago.

The woman revealed she knew about his son: Matsumoto Taro, now Kurosawa Shota, twelve years old, living in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Matsumoto was struck with lightning. He wept, begging, "Don't kill my son! If he dies, my family is extinct!" He kowtowed repeatedly, his forehead bleeding.

The woman smiled, "It's too late. Shota Kurosawa died five minutes ago."

Matsumoto collapsed, shouting, "Why?! Why are you destroying my family?!"

The woman sneered, "This is the price of angering the Banks family!"

Matsumoto cried, "Kill me, kill me now!"

The woman nodded, produced a jade sunflower seed, and said, "Ryoman Matsumoto, remember my name: Xion Banks!" She flicked the seed; it pierced Matsumoto's forehead, killing him instantly.
