Chapter 1806

He was fortunate; his leg only required amputation a few hours later. His Rejuvenation Pill could heal it as long as the limb remained attached. However, the pill was ineffective on amputated limbs; it couldn't regenerate them. Though Ito Yuhiko's injury was recent, amputation wouldn't significantly impact healing, as tissue decay and infection take time. Doctors could provide anti-inflammatory treatment, buying some time. If Yuhiko had hesitated, he might have survived the night with Nanako. Instead, his limb was amputated immediately, likely because the hospital deemed it irrecoverable. His luck, it seemed, had run out.

Nanako cried, asking Charlie Wade about her father's condition. Emi Ito reassured her, saying Yuhiko was surprisingly accepting, viewing survival as a blessing, even with a disability. She added that his greatest fear wasn't death or injury, but being unable to accompany Nanako. His relief at escaping death was palpable.

Nanako hugged Emi Ito and wept. Emi Ito, noticing something, exclaimed in surprise, "Nanako, how can you stand? The doctor said you'd need a wheelchair!"

Nanako revealed that Charlie Wade had cured her. Emi Ito was shocked, recognizing the name as belonging to the man who owed the Ito family $4.5 billion. Nanako insisted the money was inconsequential; he had saved her life. She explained that Shinichi Takahashi had sent six Tenglin ninjas to Kyoto to kill her, but Charlie Wade had saved her. Emi Ito expressed her gratitude to Charlie Wade for saving Nanako, bowing deeply. Charlie Wade responded modestly, saying it was what friends do. A doctor then arrived, announcing that Yuhiko was awake and wished to see his family.

Chapter 1807

Charlie Wade's presence was solely for Nanako. With Yuhiko's amputation and stable condition, his help wasn't needed, and he chose not to visit to avoid awkwardness. Nanako, understanding, asked him to wait while she visited her father.

In the ward, Yuhiko had just awakened. Pain was minimal due to an analgesic pump, but he worried about Nanako. He dreamed of her being harmed and awoke intending to send for her. He was overjoyed to find Nanako and Emi Ito at his bedside.

Seeing her father's condition—pale, with heavily bandaged legs—Nanako wept. Yuhiko, relieved at her safety, expressed his happiness at her presence. Nanako comforted him. Yuhiko then noticed her walking and asked about her legs. Nanako explained that she'd nearly died by the Tenglin ninjas. He was shocked to learn of the assassination attempt and her escape, thanks to Charlie Wade.

Chapter 1808

Yuhiko was ecstatic to learn of Nanako's recovery and complete healing. He learned that Charlie Wade had brought her to Tokyo. Nanako mentioned the six Tenglin ninja corpses in her courtyard, asking for assistance in their removal. Yuhiko reflected on his previous animosity towards Charlie Wade, contrasting it with Charlie Wade’s life-saving actions for Nanako. He immediately requested to see and thank Charlie Wade. Nanako hesitated, mentioning Charlie Wade's concerns about causing distress. Yuhiko insisted, and Nanako went to fetch him.

Charlie Wade was surprised by Nanako's quick return and her father's request. He initially hesitated due to Yuhiko's condition but Nanako insisted, assuring him of her father's gratitude. Charlie Wade agreed to visit.

Chapter 1809

Upon entering, Yuhiko, with Emi Ito's assistance, sat up and deeply thanked Charlie Wade for saving Nanako's life and curing her injuries. Charlie Wade responded modestly, again stating it was what friends do, subtly implying the $4.5 billion debt was settled. He didn't want to easily relinquish the money, preferring to eventually give it to Nanako upon her inheritance. Yuhiko understood and didn't press the issue. He then curiously inquired about the rescue.

Charlie Wade explained that he'd gone to Kyoto to meet Nanako after working in Osaka and encountered the Tenglin ninjas. He mentioned the coincidence of his timely arrival. Yuhiko expressed gratitude. He then questioned Takahashi Machi's actions, wondering why he’d attack his daughter, especially given their business competition with the Banks Family. Charlie Wade's immediate response indicated that he’s aware of the Banks Family and their involvement.

Chapter 1810

Yuhiko explained that the Banks Family, a prominent Chinese family, sought cooperation with Japanese businesses for ocean shipping. Both the Ito and Takahashi families were under consideration. He revealed that the Banks Family’s siblings, Fitz and Zara, had been kidnapped in Japan, implicating both him and Takahashi.

Charlie Wade realized he’d saved Fitz and Zara in Kyoto. This discovery filled him with regret, as the Banks Family had been enemies of his family. He felt he should not have saved them.

Yuhiko asked if Charlie Wade knew anyone from the Banks Family. Charlie Wade revealed he'd unknowingly saved them in Kyoto, clarifying that it was Iga, not Tenglin, ninjas who kidnapped them, and that the plan seemed designed to frame the Ito family. The ninjas were apparently instigated by Matsumoto, a revelation that shocked the Ito family. They now understood the whole plot; Matsumoto had orchestrated everything.

Emi Ito mentioned information gathered from the police: Takahashi's son had been murdered and Takahashi himself assassinated. Further, Matsumoto's entire family had been killed. This confirmed their suspicions about Matsumoto's role. The chapter ends with this shocking revelation.
