Chapter 1905
Elaine Ma didn't know Cynthia; she didn't even know Cynthia's last name or where she came from. Elaine's claim that Cynthia was Charlie Wade's aunt was a complete fabrication, born entirely from fear of Donald's threats. Terrified Donald would kill her, Elaine reasoned: "Since Donald wants to kill a Wade family member to vent his rage, I might as well frame this woman! It'll protect me and avenge her humiliating me."
"This woman inexplicably pretended to know me, lied about a check, and tried to convince my daughter to divorce Charlie Wade. Framing her as his aunt is completely justified."
Therefore, Elaine was surprised to find herself seemingly in the right. Donald, equally surprised, exclaimed, "Elaine Ma, you say she's Charlie Wade's aunt? Are you kidding me?"
"Of course not!" Elaine retorted. "She's Charlie Wade's aunt! She came to the beauty salon, offered me $100 million, and wanted my daughter to leave Charlie Wade!"
Donald strode toward Cynthia, scrutinizing her. Although well-dressed, she was unfamiliar to him. This wasn't due to ignorance; for personal safety, the Wade family rarely appears in public. Except for Eastcliff's elite, few have met them. The media strictly avoids publishing any personal information about the family. Thus, despite his familiarity with the Eastcliff Wade family, Donald didn't recognize Cynthia.
He ripped the towel from Cynthia's mouth and coldly asked, "Are you Charlie Wade's aunt?"
Cynthia shuddered, frantically shaking her head. "No! I'm not his aunt! I have nothing to do with Charlie Wade!"
Elaine yelled, "Lie! Why would my daughter divorce Charlie Wade if you had nothing to do with him?!"
Cynthia, paralyzed with fear, knowing Donald's threat to kill Charlie Wade's family, couldn't admit her relationship. Revealing her connection to the Wade family meant certain death.
Donald, seeing her silence, slapped her and gritted his teeth. "Don't say yes?! Fine! I'll kill you!"
Cynthia, pale and crying, confessed, "Actually, I'm not related to Charlie Wade at all. I just thought he was handsome and capable, and wanted him as my son-in-law"
