Chapter 19

"That's it, Mr. Webb," Harold said doubtfully. "Our Wilson family in Aurouss Hill is middle class, a good one!"

Donald glared at him. "Good? Your sister kneeled and licked Kenneth Wilson! Your mother sleeps with the overseer at the black coal mine! You have the nerve to say your family has a head and a face?"

Christopher's face flushed crimson. He was mortified. Harold felt equally humiliated.

Donald continued, his voice dripping with scorn. "Your family secretly sold the TV from the Master's villa! Your grandmother ran off! Charlie Wade's house steals daffodils to make dumplings! How much did you pay for two pounds of leeks at the market?! You're all stupid!"

Christopher and Harold were speechless. Donald's words were true. The Wilson family's post-decline actions were unethical and scandalous. To recount them all would be utterly shameful for their ancestors.

Cynthia, desperate, had confessed her and Charlie Wade's identities to Donald. Instead of helping, he'd launched into a tirade against Christopher and Harold. With a devout expression, she pleaded, "Big brother, every word is true! I swear! Please, for the Wade family, let me go!"

Meanwhile, Charlie Wade sat in Cameron Isaac's helicopter, speeding toward the suburbs. Christopher and Harold's methods were clumsy; Cameron Isaac and his men quickly tracked them. Surveillance footage and traffic monitoring revealed their route to an abandoned warehouse. Cameron Isaac immediately mobilized a large rescue team, with Charlie Wade accompanying them.

During the flight, Charlie Wade appeared distressed. Cameron Isaac comforted him. "Master, we'll be there in minutes. Your mother-in-law and aunt shouldn't be in mortal danger."

Charlie Wade rubbed his temples. "Christopher and Harold likely work for Donald. They'll probably torture Elaine Ma and imprison her somewhere like a black coal mine. I'm not worried they'll kill her."

Cameron Isaac nodded. "Your aunt is the eldest daughter of the Wade family. If Donald knows her identity, he likely won't kill her."

Charlie Wade sighed. "What worries me is if she revealed her identity! That would reveal mine. I don't want anyone to know my connection to the Wade family!"

Cameron Isaac asked urgently, "What if she already told him?"

Charlie Wade said coldly, "If she has, she's in for a world of hurt."
