Chapter 1921
Cynthia was furious. Gritting her teeth, she shouted, “Charlie Wade! Don't think I, Cynthia, am confused. My status in the Wade family is far higher than yours! Respect me!”
Charlie Wade ignored her, pointing to Don Albert and then to the empty seat beside Cynthia. Don Albert immediately escorted Donald to Cynthia's side.
Charlie Wade then reached out, removed Donald's headgear, and smiled slightly. “Hello, Mr. Webb. We meet again.”
“Wade… Charlie Wade?!” Donald recoiled as if struck by lightning. He couldn't believe Charlie Wade was there. Could he be behind everything? How could he have the power to do this?
Seeing Donald's horrified expression, Charlie Wade smiled. “Mr. Webb, it’s been a while. But first, let me introduce you to the… woman beside you.”
Cynthia glared at Charlie Wade, gritting her teeth. “Charlie Wade! Don't push this too far!”
Ignoring her, Charlie Wade continued to address Donald. “This shrew’s real name isn't Caroline Wells; it's Cynthia Wade. She's the eldest daughter of the Eastcliff Wade family, my father's sister—my aunt.”
“What?!” Donald felt a shock like a nuclear explosion. His voice trembled. “You… you… are you really… really from the Wade family?!”
Charlie Wade smiled. “Indeed, I’m from the Wade family, but it’s not that impressive.”
Donald, drenched in cold sweat, stammered, “Master Wade… why didn't you reveal your identity? Knowing you were Master Wade, I would have been deferential. Even with ten thousand times my courage, I wouldn't dare oppose you!”
Charlie Wade smiled. “Donald, don't be so scared. Look at you, you’re pale. The Wade family isn't as terrifying as you think.” He pointed to Cynthia. “See? Even Master Wade's daughter was tied up by you.”
Donald frantically waved his hands. “Master Wade, please don't say that! It was entirely Christopher and Harold's fault. They told me they were tying Elaine Ma; they didn't mention Ms. Wade. Only after I arrived did I realize how audacious they were to tie Ms. Wade, too!”
Charlie Wade pointed at Cynthia. “Did you beat her?”
Donald, looking distraught, choked out, “I was wrong… I truly didn't know Ms. Wade's identity…”
Charlie Wade smiled. “Miss Wade, was that fun?”
Donald shook his head violently. Cynthia looked furious.
Donald, terrified, stammered, “Master Wade, I truly didn't know your identity or Ms. Wade’s. Otherwise, how could I dare to treat you two so badly…”
Charlie Wade looked at Donald. “Mr. Webb, have you considered what will happen to the Webb family after today?”
Donald’s body trembled violently at those words.
