Chapter 19

Cynthia's self-esteem was deeply wounded by Charlie Wade's playful eyes. She gritted her teeth and shouted, "Of course! Do you think I was joking? If you continue to ignore my praise, toasting without drinking the fine wine, I promise you'll be finished sooner or later! Not only you, but your wife, your mother-in-law, and everyone around you will die!"

Cynthia was beside herself. She shrieked like a shrew, "Your parents were lucky to die and return to their graves in Eastcliff! If you die, you won't even qualify to be buried in the Wade family ancestral grave!"

Charlie Wade's expression turned grim. He looked at Cynthia and said calmly, "You're my father's sister, so I can't hit you."

Cynthia sneered. "You still remember I'm your father's sister?! Don't you dare—"

Before she finished, Charlie Wade said to Don Albertt, "Don Albertt! You're not related to her. Silence her!"

Don Albertt immediately boomed, "Yes, Master Wade!" He rushed forward, grabbing Cynthia by the collar.

Cynthia recoiled, threatening, "If you dare hit me, I'll kill you!"

Don Albertt slapped her across the face, knocking out two teeth. He said coldly, "Master Wade gave me my life. Even if he asked me to kill the king, I wouldn't hesitate, let alone you, uneducated vixen!" He slapped her again.

Don Albertt had long been enraged by Cynthia's attitude toward Charlie Wade. With Charlie Wade's permission, he unleashed his fury.

Stunned and furious, Cynthia screamed, "You'll all die! All of you!!!"

Charlie Wade looked at her coldly. "If you'd investigated me properly, you'd know why I'm revered as Master Wade in Aurous Hill. You'd know why Donald's Eight Heavenly Kings were annihilated by me at Golim Mountain. And you'd know about my recent trip to Japan and the events that transpired there."

Cynthia's face paled, fear replacing her anger.

Charlie Wade stared at her. "Don't you want me to marry Stefanie Sun? Did you consider why my father's best friend, Orrin, recovered so miraculously? Was it a medical miracle?"

He pointed to Don Albertt. "Don Albertt was nearly killed by Donald's men in Heaven Springs. How did he survive? Do you know?"

Cynthia's face was ashen.

Charlie Wade unleashed his aura, filling the space with energy. He shouted, "If you haven't considered these things, do so now! Think about it! Then tell me—between us, it's not you who can kill me, it's me who can kill you!"

Cynthia was stunned by Charlie Wade's power and words.

The Wade family had investigated Charlie Wade in Aurous Hill, but their findings were incomplete. They knew he was strong, but not how strong. They knew about Donald's guards' deaths at Golim Mountain, but not who was responsible. And they didn't understand Orrin's recovery.
