Chapter 1925

Donald, reprimanded by Charlie Wade, dared not look up. He knew about Kian's actions, but initially believed it was confined to his son and other girls. Even if his son harmed several girls, it didn't directly involve Charlie Wade or his associates. Why, then, was Charlie Wade so angry?

However, witnessing Charlie Wade's fury, Donald realized the depth of his sense of justice far exceeded his expectations.

Charlie Wade stared coldly at Donald. "Donald," he said, "my aunt attempted to kill you, yet you remain unrepentant! Therefore, I'm taking forty percent of your assets. The Wade family will dispose of you as they see fit from now on!"

Donald burst into tears. He was still hands behind his back, but immediately leaned forward, kneeling and kowtowing heavily. "Master Wade," he cried, begging, "I was wrong! I know I was wrong! My son deserves death, but your mercy in sparing his life is a great kindness. I failed to discipline him. Please forgive me…"

Charlie Wade responded coldly, "Your failure to discipline him goes beyond mere negligence!"

He continued, "Your brother-in-law, Marcone, committed countless crimes! As the head of the first family in Southavem, you allowed him to use your influence to commit these atrocities under your very nose. You knew, yet you did nothing! Why didn't you stop him?! Had you guided him earlier, he wouldn't have poisoned so many people, and I wouldn't have had to sink him in the river!"

Donald was shocked, immediately understanding that Charlie Wade was responsible for the destruction of Marcone and the entire Beggar Gang leadership. Overwhelmed, he cried, "I'm sorry, Master Wade! I bear inescapable responsibility… I knew about his actions and tried to stop him, but my wife cried and threatened suicide three times. My heart softened. I thought, as long as I wasn't directly involved, he could do as he pleased… I never imagined this would lead to such a terrible mistake…"

Charlie Wade gritted his teeth. "You did commit a terrible mistake! How many children and families did Marcone destroy? A share of that debt falls on you, Donald! Even if I kill you now, the Heavens themselves would demand atonement for your actions in this life and the next, ensuring your ninth reincarnation suffers the world's torments!"

Donald's tears flowed freely. His voice trembled. "Master Wade, I truly know I was wrong! Please give me a chance to atone. I will hand over sixty percent of the Webb family's assets. The Webb family will be wholly devoted to you from this day forward!"

Charlie Wade waved his hand. "It's not just about money. If you truly wish to atone, I can give you a chance, but it depends on whether you can accept it."

Donald, head bowed, responded, "Master Wade, please tell me! I will do everything in my power!"

Charlie Wade said coldly, "Transfer forty percent of your family assets to Don Albertt, who will control them in the future. Another twenty percent will be used for charity to compensate for your brother-in-law Marcone's crimes."

Don Albertt exclaimed, "Master Wade, this can't be done… You spared my life, and any assets are rightfully yours… How can you give them to me…?"

Charlie Wade replied calmly, "If Mr. Webb agrees to this, you'll receive forty percent."

Donald, speechless, nodded quickly. "Rest assured, Master Wade, I will do this today!"

Charlie Wade continued, "Donald, from today, you are Don Albertt's man. If Don Albertt tells you to go east, you go east. I want your Webb family to completely disappear from the south of the Yangtze River."

Donald, not daring to speak, nodded hurriedly. "Rest assured, Master Wade, you will be my master from now on…"

Charlie Wade turned to Don Albertt. "Don Albertt, oversee him. If he disobeys, tell me immediately!"

Don Albertt replied quickly, "Master Wade, don't worry, I understand! As for Donald's shares, I will hold them temporarily for you."

Charlie Wade nodded slightly. He then looked at Cynthia, whose cheek was swollen from Don Albertt's blow. "Auntie, since you're here, stay in Aurouss Hilll for a week until after the New Year. I'm very busy, so I won't visit, but I wish you a Happy New Year in advance."
