Chapter 19: 2026 (Assuming this is meant to be a chapter title and year)

Charlie Wade's expression turned serious. He warned, "This concludes today's business. If you dare to take any further action behind my back, don't blame me for being ruthless."

Cynthia stared at Charlie Wade, wanting to intercede, but the words caught in her throat. She found his character strikingly similar to her second brother, Bruce.

Bruce's legendary status stemmed from his unexpected strength. He appeared a frail scholar, yet could stand against an army. He was unwavering and resolute, forging his own path regardless of opposition. This led to a saying in Eastcliff's high society: "The Wade family has a son—you can't tame a tiger!" Even his enemies respected Bruce, acknowledging him as the Wade family's most brilliant rising star.

Cynthia now recognized that same aura in Charlie Wade, inspiring a sense of awe and apprehension. She realized she could no longer offend her long-lost nephew; she feared he might truly turn on his own family.

Swallowing her pride, Cynthia said, "Charlie Wade, I'll abide by your decision. I won't pursue your mother-in-law or Donald"

Her voice nearly a plea, she continued, "But you won't continue protecting the father and son who bound me, will you? I've suffered terribly today, and you must"

Tears welled in Cynthia's eyes as she recounted her ordeal. She'd planned to use Elaine Ma, intending to buy her off, but Elaine had turned the tables. Then Harold, Christopher, and his son had led her to this place, followed by Donald's attack; he'd nearly shot her, causing her to urinate herself. She'd never known such hardship. The indignity of being slapped by Elaine Ma, whom she couldn't retaliate against, added to her misery. Now, with Donald forfeiting his property to become Charlie Wade's lackey, only the Wilson father and son remained to target.

Charlie Wade frowned. He asked Don Albertt, "What's the condition of Christopher and Harold?"

Don Albertt replied, "Donald's men broke their arms and legs. They're incapacitated. Master Wade will decide their fate."
