Chapter 2043

Don Albert's men knew little about Cynthia. They only knew she was a middle-aged woman their boss required them to guard closely. They knew nothing of her last name, origin, or background.

Therefore, when Cynthia reacted angrily to the dumplings he'd offered, he was taken aback. He felt like he was feeding a rabid dog.

Cynthia was astonished that one of Charlie Wade's subordinates would speak to her so rudely. Infuriated, she pointed at him and snapped, "Do you know who I am? How dare you talk to me like that?"

He gritted his teeth and retorted, "I don't care who you are. You insulted the dumplings my mother made. I'll shut you up!"

He continued, "These leaves are sour, but my mom still makes dumplings with them. What's wrong with her? Is our family that poor?" The northeastern man, over six feet tall, his face reddening, exclaimed, "What do you know? This sauerkraut is a common northeastern dish! Haven't you even seen sauerkraut? Are you even human?"

Cynthia scoffed, "Only poor people like you eat this kind of junk food!" She then threw the dumplings in his face.

Ignoring the dumplings scattered on the floor, she glared at him and coldly demanded, "I don't eat this garbage. Prepare me some lobster dumplings!"

Seeing his mother's dumplings so disrespected and thrown on the ground, the man lost his temper and slapped Cynthia.

Cynthia screamed, "You you dare hit me! I'll kill you!"

He ignored her, saying coldly, "Your meal has been delivered. If you're still hungry, wait until tomorrow."

Cynthia retorted, "What did you say?! I ate one of your garbage dumplings and threw up!"

He replied indifferently, "That's not my problem. I delivered the food; whether you eat it is your concern."

Cynthia insisted, "I won't eat your dumplings. Order me McDonald's!"

He roared, "You're a disgrace! Northeast sauerkraut is garbage to you, but American McDonald's isn't? You're an embarrassment to China, obsessed with foreign goods!" He slammed the door and locked it. Cynthia, left without food, soon grew famished.

That evening, Cynthia called her father, Lord Wade, in Eastcliff, complaining about her ordeal in Aurous Hill. She pleaded, "Dad, pressure that bastard Charlie Wade to release me! I can't take it anymore"

Lord Wade responded indifferently, "I've told you this before. Since you're at fault, stay in Aurous Hill for a week."

Cynthia choked back tears. "Dad, I can't take it! This is hell! I haven't eaten all day. I'm going crazy!"
