Chapter 2044

Lord Wade frowned. "As a daughter of the Wade family, why do you lack patience? If you can't handle this, what else can you do?"

He continued, "From now on, avoid any further conflict with Charlie Wade. He's promised to return for the Ancestor Ceremony at Spring Festival; that's a positive step toward his reintegration into the Wade family."

Cynthia retorted angrily, "Dad! Why do you always side with that disrespectful bastard, Charlie Wade? He's a poor kid who's been out of the country for years, never attended school. What value does he have to our family? You're letting him return for the Ancestor Ceremony? He'll disgrace our lineage!"

Lord Wade said coldly, "Charlie Wade is still a member of the Wade family's bloodline, and he still holds the Sun girl's marriage contract. His potential value to the Wade family is now unparalleled, including yours! Stop causing trouble. I told you to stay in Aurous Hill for seven days, and you'll stay! You find fault with everything—even a serving of pork and pickled dumplings! You've become spoiled!"

Lord Wade hung up. Cynthia wept in frustration. She blamed Charlie Wade for her suffering and her father's scolding.

She vowed to make him pay. This was her chance. She muttered, "Charlie Wade, I, Cynthia, will teach you a painful lesson!"

Wiping her tears, she opened the door and apologized to Don Albertt's man. "Sir, I was reckless. I apologize and hope you'll forgive me." She bowed deeply.

The man's mood softened. "Alright, considering your good attitude, the matter is settled."

Don Albertt added, "She hopes to return to Eastcliff early."

Charlie Wade sneered. "No. Tell her to forget it. Seven days, not a minute less."

Don Albertt replied, "Okay, Charlie Wade. I'll tell her."

Charlie Wade instructed, "After seven full days, let her leave Aurous Hill immediately and never return."
