Chapter 2052
Jasmine was surprised. “Why is Hashimoto Konzen calling so late? Could it be… because they’ve already decided?”
Inevitably nervous, she quickly answered the call. “Mr. Hashimoto, what can I do for you at this late hour?”
Hashimoto Konzen smiled. “Miss Moore, I’ve given your cooperation proposal to our chairman. He’s very impressed with your sincerity and asked me to tell you the contract will be signed tonight!”
Jasmine was astonished. “Mr. Hashimoto, is that true?!”
Hashimoto Konzen chuckled. “I wouldn’t say anything untrue. I’m just the negotiator. The chairman’s decision is final, and he’s given his word.”
Jasmine exclaimed, “That’s wonderful! Is the chairman hoping to sign tonight?”
“Yes,” Hashimoto Konzen replied. “Since you’ve been so sincere, we want to show our sincerity and sign as soon as possible.”
Jasmine eagerly said, “Excellent! Please give me the address. I’ll be right there!”
Hashimoto Konzen explained, “Miss Moore, our chairman is at his villa in West Domo County. He’d like you to come there to sign.”
Jasmine asked, “West Domo County? Where is that? I’m not familiar with Tokyo…”
Hashimoto Konzen smiled. “West Domo County is west of Tokyo, about seventy to eighty kilometers away. You can get there in an hour or so. Your driver should know the location. If it’s convenient, come now.”
Jasmine replied without hesitation, “Okay, no problem. I’m on my way!”
After hanging up, Jasmine excitedly called her assistant, Clarice. “Hurry! We’re leaving in five minutes to sign a contract with New Nippon Iron’s chairman!”
Clarice was startled. “Lady Moore, New Nippon Steel agreed?!”
“Yes!” Jasmine exclaimed. “Their chairman wants to sign now! You and Dee, get ready! And tell the driver!”
“Okay, Ms. Moore!”
Five minutes later, Jasmine rushed from her room. Clarice and Dee were waiting at the door. “Ms. Moore, the driver is waiting downstairs.”
“Yes!” Jasmine nodded impatiently. “Let’s go!”
In the car, Jasmine gave her Chinese driver the address Hashimoto had provided. He entered it into the navigation system and said, “Miss Moore, traffic is light. We should arrive in about an hour and twenty minutes.”
“Okay,” Jasmine nodded.
Clarice spoke up, “Ms. Moore, should we tell Lord Moore the good news?”
“You’re right,” Jasmine agreed, reaching for her phone to call her grandfather.
However, remembering her brother Reuben’s earlier joke about waking to good news, she hesitated. “This afternoon, Reuben said he’d wake up to the news I’d signed the contract. I’ll surprise them tomorrow!”
Jasmine put away her phone. “The contract isn’t signed yet. Let’s tell them after it’s finalized.”
