Chapter 2069

Tokyo, 2:50 AM. Charlie Wade's private plane landed at Narita Airport. He traveled alone and rushed directly to Tokyo. During the flight, he remained connected to the plane's Wi-Fi, the only available network, anxiously monitoring Jasmine's WeChat avatar for any message. She had not responded.

Over the two-hour flight, Charlie's anxiety mounted, fueling his worst fears: Jasmine's death. He carried a Rejuvenation Pill, but even its miraculous properties couldn't revive the dead. While the Apocalyptic Book mentioned higher-level pills, that knowledge was beyond his current understanding and abilities. All he could do was pray that Jasmine was alive, or at least, that he could still save her.

Upon landing, Charlie swiftly cleared customs. Nanako awaited him. Seeing him, she exclaimed, "Charlie Wade, you're here!" Her joy was evident.

Charlie asked, "Nanako, did your people find anything?"

Nanako replied, "My ninjas located the vehicle involved in Miss Moore's accident. Three bodies were found: two women and one man."

"What?!" Charlie's heart pounded. "Have the bodies been identified?"

Nanako explained, "The male corpse is Miss Moore's driver. One of the female corpses has been identified as not Miss Moore. The other female corpse, in the passenger seat, was burned beyond recognition. However, we presume she is not Miss Moore either."

Charlie pressed, "No one else at the scene? Where's Jasmine? Could the burned body be hers?"

Nanako continued, "Fresh footprints were found. Someone escaped before the vehicle spontaneously combusted. My ninja described the scene as incredibly tragic—a commercial vehicle falling hundreds of meters from a cliff and then combusting. Even a ninja would struggle to survive, yet someone did. It's a miracle!"

Hearing this, Charlie breathed a sigh of relief. The survivor, he hoped, was Jasmine.
