The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 176-180

Chapter 176

A saleswoman brusquely told Charlie Wade to leave the Thompson First sales center if he wasn't buying a villa. Claire Wilson, sighing, urged him to go. Others joined in the jeering, calling him poor and a disgrace.

Charlie Wade calmly retorted, "You can't afford these villas because you're short-sighted; you'll never own one!"

Harold scoffed, challenging Charlie to prove his claim. He boasted, "If you buy a suite here, I'll jump off this building!" Many others echoed his dare.

Claire Wilson, humiliated, pleaded with Charlie to stop. He smiled, "Why are you so sure I'll humiliate myself?"

He then produced the key and access card to Villa A05. Wendy scoffed, dismissing it as a random key. Charlie handed it to the saleswoman for verification.

The saleswoman immediately recognized the key and card as belonging to a Thompson First villa owner. She was shocked. The sales center's visitor system announced, "Welcome home, Mr. Wade, esteemed owner of Villa A05."

The saleswoman apologized profusely, realizing her mistake. Everyone was stunned. Charlie was the owner of a top-tier villa? Harold's expression was one of disbelief and dismay.

Chapter 177

The saleswoman, fearing job loss, apologized again. Charlie waved it off, "It's a minor issue." He then asked her to explain Villa A05 to the onlookers.

She described the A-class villas as three-story homes with basements, private elevators, and over 1,000 square meters of space.

The crowd gasped. A villa worth over 100 million? Harold and his family were consumed with envy.

Wendy demanded to know how Charlie obtained the villa. He simply replied, "Someone gave it to me." Wendy's disbelief was palpable. Charlie ignored her further questions, turning his attention back to Harold.

He reminded Harold of his dare, prompting Harold's angry denial of Charlie's ownership. Charlie responded, "Some people just can't handle losing." He pointed out the vast difference in their wealth and sneered at Harold's inability to afford anything better than a standard apartment.

Chapter 178

Harold, enraged at Charlie's calm demeanor, accused him of disrespecting the Wilson family. Charlie retorted, "You constantly say I'm not part of the family. Why should I tell you anything?" He turned to Claire, "Let's see our new villa."

Claire was bewildered. Suddenly, Elaine Ma and Jacob Wilson appeared, claiming they were there at Christopher's invitation to view properties.

Elaine Ma was annoyed, having argued with Claire the previous night. She felt they were showing off their planned purchase. She begrudgingly flattered Hannah about buying a 240-square-meter unit.

Hannah, furious, felt Elaine was mocking her, unaware of Charlie's villa ownership.

Chapter 179

Elaine Ma continued flattering Hannah, highlighting her own less fortunate housing situation. Hannah was livid. Christopher confronted Jacob, accusing him of hiding his ownership of a villa. Jacob was shocked.

Christopher then pointed to Charlie as the owner of the largest villa. Elaine and Jacob were astonished. Charlie confirmed his ownership, explaining a friend gifted it to him for resolving a feng shui problem.

Elaine Ma was ecstatic, eager to see the villa. Claire pulled Charlie aside to ask for an explanation. He simply stated that someone gave him the villa and they could inspect it.

Elaine Ma, now feeling superior, invited everyone to see the villa, aiming to make her brother and sister-in-law jealous. Hannah secretly planned to use photos of the villa to manipulate Elaine Ma into requesting it.

Chapter 180

They arrived at Thompson First. Wendy loudly asked for Charlie's villa. He led them to Villa A05, unlocking the gate to reveal a luxurious garden and house.

Everyone was shocked by the villa's opulence. Harold remained skeptical, questioning the source of the gift. Wendy questioned Charlie's worthiness.

A butler, Barry, emerged. He identified himself as Mr. White's butler responsible for the villa's upkeep, much to Wendy's shock, as she recognized him as her fiancé Gerald's family butler.

Barry confirmed that the villa, once owned by the White family, now belonged to Charlie. He offered to prepare the villa for their move-in, but Charlie declined for now.

Wendy was in disbelief. The villa was from her fiancé's family? Why was it given to Charlie? Her family was equally shocked and angry.

Hannah urged Wendy to call Gerald for an explanation. Gerald confirmed the family's ownership but said his uncle had given it to Charlie, intending to use it as his retirement home; Wendy broke down in tears, completely overwhelmed.
