Chapter 2096

He had discovered Charlie Wade's surprisingly strong connections in Japan. The helicopter landed on the Ito family's lawn. Twenty men in black suits immediately surrounded it. They stood on either side of the hatch, a powerful display.

A beautiful woman emerged from the helicopter, landing gracefully before addressing Reuben. "Lord Moore, please!"

Reuben swallowed nervously, his heart pounding as he exited the helicopter.

"Lord Moore," the woman continued, "Mr. Wade and our eldest sister await you in the parlor."

Reuben, his face full of humility, hesitantly asked, "Might I inquire who your eldest sister is?"

The woman smiled. "You'll meet her soon enough; she'll introduce herself."

Rueben forced a smile, though inwardly he panicked. The mansion, situated in a prime Tokyo location, was worth billions, perhaps tens of billions. The Ito family's wealth and influence far surpassed the Moores'.

The woman gestured, smiling. "This way, Lord Moore."

Reuben, apprehensive, nodded and followed. She led him through the back garden, down a long corridor, and to a traditional Japanese-style room.

"Please wait," she said to Reuben and his assistant. "I'll announce your arrival."

"Certainly," Reuben replied. "We'll wait here."

The woman entered the room. Charlie Wade, cross-legged at a tea table, sipped tea. Nanako nodded indifferently.

"Invite them in," Nanako instructed.

"Yes, Miss," the woman replied, returning to Reuben. "Lord Moore, please."

Rueben's assistant whispered, "Lord Moore, should I go in? I'm nervous."

Rueben saw her fear, understanding it stemmed from the overwhelming display of power. He sighed inwardly—he was just as terrified. He knew she could refuse, but he couldn't.

"Wait outside," he told her.

Relieved, the assistant nodded. Summoning his courage, Reuben entered the room.

Charlie Wade, calm as ever, slightly waved his hand in greeting. Opposite him sat a young Japanese woman in a kimono—exquisitely beautiful, gentle, and elegant.

Reuben recognized her instantly. Shock washed over him. "This… this woman… is Nanako Ito, the eldest daughter of the Ito family! Could it be… could it be that Charlie Wade's 'local friend'… is her?!"
