Chapter 2095

Seeing nearly twenty helicopters—four-by-four—take off, Reuben felt overwhelmed. He couldn't comprehend it: "What the hell is going on? Twenty helicopters shuttling between locations a dozen kilometers apart? Unbelievable!"

He questioned the expense, wondering about Charlie Wade's Tokyo connection. "It costs a fortune to rent twenty helicopters! Does he have that kind of money to burn?"

Tokyo citizens were equally astonished by the aerial spectacle. One by one, they stopped to watch, believing something significant was happening or that a VIP had arrived.

Reuben's inability to fathom Charlie Wade's actions fueled his guilt. While not close friends, they were acquaintances. Shouldn't a meeting be a simple arrangement, not this extravagant display? What did Charlie Wade intend?

More helicopters continued to take off, joining those already circling the high-rise buildings. Soon, over thirty helicopters were involved.

Reuben, never having witnessed anything like this, felt his unease grow. His initial contempt vanished, replaced by an unspoken realization that Charlie Wade was far more powerful than he'd imagined, as was his previously unknown Japanese associate. Perhaps this associate was a prominent Tokyo figure.

The thirty-plus helicopters circled Tokyo before hovering over a large private estate. Reuben noticed they'd formed a ring around his aircraft, which was slowly descending.

Looking down at the sprawling estate, he asked the attendant, "Excuse me, where are we?"

"This is our eldest sister's residence, sir," she replied.

Reuben didn't know the exact location of the Ito family mansion, so he couldn't immediately identify the owner. However, the location, area, and architectural style clearly indicated it wasn't an ordinary home.

As they descended, Reuben's heart pounded. He panicked, thinking, "Charlie Wade's Tokyo friends have incredibly powerful connections. If he asks them to investigate Jasmine's case, this could explode!"

Previously, Reuben believed Charlie Wade's Japan trip was futile. He was unfamiliar with the country, lacking connections and support—making Jasmine's case investigation extremely difficult.

This was true for most people. Influence has geographical limitations. Don Albertt, for example, was Aurouss Hill's underground emperor; however, his power diminished significantly outside the city. In Tokyo, even a low-level thug might challenge him. His Aurouss Hill influence wouldn't extend that far.

Reuben initially assumed Charlie Wade would be the same. Powerful in Aurouss Hill due to its local bigwigs, his influence would decrease elsewhere. He imagined Charlie Wade struggling to find even a few assistants in Japan.

Now, Reuben realized his own ignorance.
