Chapter 165

Jamar’s complete involvement threw Joshua Jenkins off. Joslina couldn’t believe Jamar wanted to “art” him up. He said, “No need to go this far, right? I am your senior, after all. I have the generosity to let this go?” He was fed up with these three troublemakers. Since they were all pressuring him into betting, he definitely wasn’t going to fall for it.

Just as he finished speaking, Ploche said, “Joslina, it’s great that you have such generosity, but we can’t just let this slide. Quintus really cheated. I won’t protect him. He should drink as punishment.” She added, “But if my person was the one being wronged, then those who accused him should also take responsibility.” She glanced at Joshua with a smirk. “What do you think, Joshua? Or are you afraid to bet?”

Jamar immediately egged him on, “Joshua, what’s there to be afraid of? Go for it!” Just moments ago, Jesus had given him that condescending look for agreeing to bet. Now, it was time for Joshua to experience firsthand what it felt like to have no choice, to be completely trapped; to know what it meant to see the jest but still have to jump in.

Maddox, surprisingly, found Jamar quite agreeable. “Exactly, Joshua! Don’t be scared! If you’re a real man, take the bet. Five drinks are nothing; just five gulps, and you’re done.” Joslana was speechless. He thought Maddox and Jamar hated each other, but they were working together now. He didn’t know why he deserved this.

Grinding his teeth slightly, Joshua said, “Fine. I’ll bet.” He had no idea why. If he didn’t, it would look like he was scared. Besides, he refused to believe that Quintus, someone he had always overshadowed, was actually that talented. So, he wasn’t afraid. He looked at Phoebe and Maddox. “But I have one condition.”

Phoebe already guessed what he was going to say, but she still asked, “Go ahead.” If Quintus fails to prove himself and turns out not to be as much of a genius as you claim… then you and Maddox have to drink five glasses each as well. If Phoebe insisted on helping Quintus and going against him, she should take the fall too. And that bastard Maddox definitely wasn’t getting away with this either.

Phoebe and Maddox didn’t hesitate at all and said in unison, “Deal.” Maddox then glanced at Joshua’s teammates and smirked. “So, if you lose, does that mean your entire team drinks with you?”

Reece wasn’t about to fall for that. “I already bet on Quintus before. I’m not stupid enough to get dragged into this now.” Joshua was already annoyed with Reece. This guy was stabbing him in the back at every turn. Moreover, Reece actually expected he was going to lose again.

Joshua scoffed. “Fine, you’re excluded. Mr. Big Movie Star.” Jamar immediately raised his hand. “I’m out for this round too. There was no way he was drinking five more glasses of that disgusting cocktail.” Joshua immediately shot him down. “No way. We’re brothers. You have to stick with me.”

Jamar shamelessly replied, “Then let’s temporarily cut ties for now.” Jamar refused to jump into this pit, especially since he had helped dig it himself. If he still jumped in, that would make him look way too damn foolish. At this moment, he really didn’t want a brother like this. His face darkened. “Get lost.”

Chapter 165

What a fragile brotherhood! This just proves how unpopular Joshua Jones really is. Even his own teammate, Reece, and his own younger brother aren’t on his side. How tragic for a top-tier celebrity.

At first, when Jamar Jones joined in, I thought he was really standing up for his brother; turns out he was just pushing him into the pit. This is too entertaining. Getting stabbed in the back by his own little brother, Joshua is probably considering disowning him right now. That was a clean stab! Good job, Jamar! For once, I don’t find Jamar that annoying. Kinda curious what Sienna will do? I’m curious.

Everyone turned their attention to the livestream, watching Sienna closely. At that moment, Sienna was internally panicking. She hadn’t even finished the three drinks in front of her, and now Joshua had stupidly agreed to five more. She thought he was dumb. She had her sweet and obedient “little sister” persona to maintain. If she didn’t stand by her brother, she would definitely get criticized. But seeing how everyone was against him, she also felt like her brother was completely doomed.

Stuck in this dilemma, she decided to play dumb. As long as she didn’t say anything, no matter who won, she wouldn’t have to drink. Unfortunately, Joshua was desperate for some kind of support. He looked at her and asked, “Sienna, you’re on my side, right?” Sienna really wanted to tell him to get lost.

Looking troubled, she pointed at the three untouched drinks on the table. “Joshua, haven’t even finished these yet.” Joshua glanced at the three large glasses. Then he turned to Jamar. “Sienna is our little sister. How can she drink so much! You help her finish them.”

Jamar’s face darkened. “She’s your sister too. Why don’t you drink them?” He wouldn’t do it just because Joshua shamelessly told him to. Joshua frowned. “Something’s off about you today!” In the past, Jamar would’ve stepped in without being asked. He’d always protected Sienna and would have volunteered to drink for her.

But Jamar knew exactly what Joshua was implying. But ever since the last show, when Jamar got food poisoning because of Sienna, and she only said she cared but didn’t actually do anything, he started seeing things differently. It reminded him of Phoebe. When she saw him in pain, she actually acted on it.

What made it even worse was that Sienna had previously told him she was just friends with Reece. Yet, when those photos and videos leaked, it was obvious their relationship was anything but simple. Because of that, Phoebe had a huge fallout and broke up with her childhood sweetheart. So not only had Sienna lied to Jamar, but she had also interfered in their younger sister’s relationship. That left a thorn in his heart.

Before coming on this show, even Leon had warned him that Sienna was calculating, playing them all, and not as innocent as she seemed. Thinking back, Jamar started recalling many little things from the past and realizing that Sienna did have quite a few manipulative tendencies. This time, on the show, he was no longer blindly spoiling her. Of course, he had taken care of her for so many years.

Initially, Jamar had planned to help her drink two of the glasses. He reached for one and said, “Til drink this one.” He downed it in a single gulp and exhaled deeply.

Then he turned to Joshua and said, “Joshua, you’re usually the one who dotes on Sienna the most. The remaining two glasses are yours.” Originally, they were supposed to split it one drink per person. But since Joshua was so eager to volunteer, he could have an extra one. And with the five drinks coming up later, plus the additional five that Sienna was supposed to drink, Joshua was definitely going to end up puking. But Jamar didn’t feel bad at all.

Joshua wasn’t happy about this arrangement. But when he saw Sienna looking at him with a pitiful, pleading gaze, full of reliance… He picked up a glass and said, “Fine. I’ll drink these two for Sienna.” He chugged it in one go. His face twisted instantly as he barely stopped himself from throwing up. The cocktail was too disgusting.

Before he could even finish being disgusted, Jamar handed him the last glass. “Joshua, be a real man. Keep going?” Joshua Jenkins sighed. Even his own brother was turning into a bad influence, thanks to Maddox.
