Chapter 348

Sienna strode into the inn, heading straight for the third floor. Stopping at a door, she knocked. When Aaron opened it, his face was covered in bruises, making her pause for a moment. Then she recalled Phoebe's impressive combat skillsโ€”these men had likely taken a severe beating. But she had no interest in their injuries; her only concern was whether they had completed the task.

โ€œCome in,โ€ Aaron said. Sienna stepped inside, and he shut the door behind her, even locking it. โ€œDid you get it?โ€ she asked.

โ€œGot it,โ€ Aaron gestured toward the coffee table, where a single strand of hair and half a vial of blond blood lay. The blood had come from one of his men.

Siennaโ€™s eyes gleamed with satisfaction. She carefully collected the items and placed them in her bag. โ€œHow did you get this? Did she give in willingly?โ€

Knowing Phoebeโ€™s nature, Sienna highly doubted she had cooperated. She was merely testing them. Aaronโ€™s expression darkened. โ€œWillingly? Not a chance. We had to drug her unconscious to get it.โ€ Then, as if deliberately playing the victim, he shot Sienna a sharp look. โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you warn us that Phoebe was that skilled?โ€

โ€œWe barely managed to subdue her, and not before she beat the hell out of us. If we hadnโ€™t brought a syringe and injected her when she let her guard down, we wouldnโ€™t just have failed to get theseโ€”we might not have made it out alive.โ€

Phoebe had previously said Sienna needed to be convinced the hair and blood were hers. Aaronโ€™s words did just that, dispelling Siennaโ€™s lingering doubts. Judging by their miserable state, it seemed they hadnโ€™t dared take advantage of Phoebeโ€”not that they hadnโ€™t wanted to.

Feigning innocence, Sienna shrugged. โ€œSorry, I had no idea she was that strong.โ€

Aaron, growing impatient, snapped, โ€œEnough talk. Transfer the remaining 2.3 million dollars now?โ€

Sienna, however, remained unfazed. โ€œI can only give you 300,000 dollars for now. Once I verify that the hair and blood are truly Phoebeโ€™s, youโ€™ll get the rest.โ€ Though she mostly believed them, she wasnโ€™t about to take any risks. If these werenโ€™t the samples she needed, there was no way they were getting another cent. And if they had dared to deceive her, she would make them pay back every dollar theyโ€™d taken from her.

Aaron had already planned to deal with Sienna, but now she had given him an excuse. His hand shot out, gripping her throat. โ€œYou bitch, trying to screw us over? We got beaten to a pulp for this, and now you want to back out?โ€

Siennaโ€™s eyes flashed with displeasure. โ€œI never said I wouldnโ€™t pay. As long as the samples check out, youโ€™ll get your money.โ€ She intended to hand the items over to Ophelia and let the sorcerer work his magic. If the blood wasnโ€™t Phoebeโ€™s, then it had to be theirs. And if anyone had to suffer the consequences, it would be them for trying to trick her.

Aaron sneered. โ€œAnd how the hell are we supposed to find you later? Transfer is now, or Iโ€™ll kill you.โ€

โ€œTurn around now, or Iโ€™ll kill you!โ€

At his signal, one of his men pressed a dagger against Sarinaโ€™s temple. She hadnโ€™t expected them to turn on her so quickly, but a chilling sense of anger crawled up her spine. Her intuition had always been eerily accurate; if she refused, they really might kill her.

โ€œFine, transfer it,โ€ Sortina said. These bastards would pay for this.

Under their watchful eyes, Sienna pulled out her phone and transferred the 2.3 million dollars to Aaronโ€™s account. โ€œHappy now?โ€

Chapter 248

She looked at him and said coldly, โ€œThe deal is done. Iโ€™m leaving.โ€

Aaron suddenly smirked. โ€œDo you know what we used to do before, dan?โ€

Siennaโ€™s stomach twisted. โ€œWhat?โ€

Leaning close to her ear, he whispered, โ€œRobbery, extortion, fraud, and preying on the weak. If you want to leave, youโ€™ll owe us first. Then spend the night with us; I promise youโ€™ll walk out of here unharmed tomorrow morning.โ€ He was still bitter over what had happened earlier. This conniving woman had played them, and now it was time for payback. Making her entertain them for the night would be a fitting way to settle the score.

Siennaโ€™s eyes filled with disbelief. โ€œYou wouldnโ€™t dareโ€ฆโ€ Not only had they broken their word, but they also had the audacity to demand all her moneyโ€”all her hard-earned money.

Aaron easily read the fury and disgust in her gaze. Smirking, he slapped her face.

Sienna clutched her stinging cheek, glaring at him. โ€œIf you lay a hand on me, I swear youโ€™ll regret it!โ€

Aaron merely chuckled. โ€œThatโ€™s a problem for later.โ€ Seeing her resistance, he exchanged a glance with his two accomplices. They immediately grabbed her arms, dragging her toward a bed and tossing her onto it; for they werenโ€™t in a hurry. Instead, they used their old methods to torment her, breaking her spirit hit by hit. Eventually, she couldnโ€™t help but transfer the rest of her fortune to them. As a daughter of the Jenkins family, her bank accounts had no spending limits.

Aaronโ€™s eyes gleamed as he saw the millions flood in. โ€œNow thatโ€™s what I call nice. Weโ€™ve never had the pleasure of a wealthy woman before. Letโ€™s see what itโ€™s like.โ€ Siennaโ€™s eyes filled with revulsion. The men she had been with in the past were all powerful and distinguished; these dogs were beneath her. But one look at their faces told her she had no way out. If she resisted, they would only make it worse. She was no stranger to this game. She would have to take the loss.

What she didnโ€™t know was that they had secretly recorded everything, planning to use the footage to blackmail her once the money cleared. Finally, Aaron pressed a spot on her head, and she blacked out. Before leaving, they plucked a few strands of her hair and collected a few drops of her blood in a glass vial. Then, without a second glance, they walked out of the room.
