Chapter 349
Aaron and his crew werenโt the least bit afraid of Sienna calling the cops. After all, she was the one who had paid them off in the first place. If the truth got out, it wouldnโt do her any favors either. Besides, they had been dancing on the edge of a knife for yearsโlaw enforcement didnโt scare them.
Their plan was simple: sell the hair and blood to Cain, then get the hell out of Caluwa. From there, theyโd head to the border, pay their way into another country, and disappear. With the money theyโd make, they could live comfortably off the grid for a long time. And when the cash ran out? Well, there was always the video to blackmail Sienna for more.
Just to be safe, they followed Phoebeโs advice and transferred all the money into an untraceable offshore account. Then, they made their way to the hospital.
Cain was in agony, unable to sleep. Ever since his streak of bad luck began, heโd been trapped in a never-ending cycle of pain and suffering. His left cheek was still swollenโnot from an injury this time, but from an infected wisdom tooth.
To make matters worse, Elliot had left for Solara City that morning for work, and Gu Yeyu had gone back to the hotel to rest, leaving only the hired nurse to watch over him.
A sudden knock on the door startled the nurse. When he opened it, he was met with three menacing figures looming in the doorway.
โWhat do you want!โ the nurse asked, clearly intimidated.
โWeโre here for Cain,โ Aaron said smoothly, dropping Cainโs name like a VIP pass. The nurse hesitated but eventually stepped aside to let them in.
Cain looked up and recognized them immediately, though he was perplexed. โWhat do you want with me!โ
Aaron smirked. โWeโve got something important to tell you. But first, send the nurse out.โ
Cain wasnโt scared of them, just curious. With a nod, he dismissed the nurse. โAlright, talk.โ
Aaron stepped closer, still smirking. โAll this misery youโve been going throughโitโs all because of Sienna. I bet you hate her guts by now.โ
Cainโs hatred for Sienna had been festering for days, fueled by relentless pain and misfortune. Once, she was the little sister he doted on. Now, she was the person he loathed the most. His eyes darkened. โGet to the point.โ
Aaron didnโt waste time. โWord is, you need Siennaโs hair and blood. Lucky for you, we brought both. And weโre willing to sell.โ
Cain froze. โWhen did I ever say I needed her hair and blood?โ
Chapter 319
Aaron parroted what Phoebe had told him. โArenโt you trying to get back at her! This should come in handy now!โ He had no clue how hair and blood could be used to retaliate, nor did he understand why both Cain and Sienna were so obsessed with it. But rich people had their eccentricities, and this pair of siblings seemed to have their own brand of crazy.
Cainโs mind clicked. If he wanted to strike back at Sienna, using her own blood and hair might be even more effective. Any last traces of hesitation or sentimentality vanished. He no longer cared what would happen to her afterward. His gaze sharpened. โHow do you even know about this?โ
Aaronโs expression turned hard. โNot your concern; just say whether you want it or not.โ
Cain eyed them warily. โHow do I know itโs really hers?โ
Aaron was prepared for this. If their positions were reversed, he wouldnโt trust it either. He pulled out his phone and played a videoโfootage of them collecting Siennaโs hair and blood.
Cainโs expression twisted. โWhat did you do to her?โ
In the video, Siennaโs eyes were shut, her face eerily still.
Aaron chuckled. โRelax. She was just exhausted and fell asleep.โ
Cain frowned. โExhausted?โ
Aaron tapped his screen again, playing a different clipโa snippet from later, where Sienna was very much awake andโฆcooperating.
Cain watched, his eyes widening in shock. Disbelief morphed into disgust. The Sienna who always pretended to be so pure, so untouchableโthis was who she really was? He felt physically ill. What had they been pampering all these years? Some kind of fraud?
โFine, Iโll buy it.โ He exhaled sharply. โHow much?โ
Aaron named the price without hesitation. โTwo million dollars.โ
Cain let out a sharp laugh. โWhat do I look like, an idiot! Iโm not paying two million for this.โ
Aaron blinked. He wasnโt bluffingโCain genuinely wasnโt interested at that price.
Feigning indifference, Aaron shrugged and turned to leave. โSuit yourself.โ
They reached the door. Cain didnโt call them back.
Aaron finally caved. โAlright, whatโs your offer?โ
The reality was, no one else in the world would buy this except Cain. Hell, they couldnโt even give it away for free.
After some back-and-forth haggling, Cain paid 130,000 dollars for the hair and bloodโfar lower than what they wanted, but better than nothing.
As Aaron pocketed the money, he sneered. โDamn, youโre stingy. Sienna was way more generous than you.โ
Cainโs head snapped up. His expression darkened. โWhat the hell do you mean by that?โ
