Adam glanced at Celine in his arms and replied, "You can be whoever you want in bed."
Celine, thinking him shameless, kicked him. He rolled over, pinning her beneath him. "Shall we do it one more time?"
She saw the determination in his eyes. He was dead serious, and his physical strength was remarkable. "Celine, I don't think we've ever made love in the morning."
Her cheeks flushed. What a psychopath! With all her might, she shoved him aside and jumped out of bed. He chuckled at the sight.
Adam and Celine visited Benjamin; Celine examined his leg injury, observing good progress in his recovery. The most challenging night had passed. She declared, "Your leg is safe."
Benjamin stared at her. "Don't expect me to thank you."
"Will your gratitude grant me immortality?"
Benjamin was speechless. Adam observed Benjamin and Celine bickering, noticing Benjamin seemed to treat Celine differently.
"Adam, let's go back now," Benjamin urged.
Adam nodded. "I'll see Mr. Lawson first." He left.
"Adam, why do you want to see him?" Benjamin's question hung in the air.
Celine looked where Adam had gone and said, "Maybe he'll return with another partner, and Carly will have more competition."
At the mention of Carly, a flicker of icy detachment crossed Benjamin's eyes.
When Adam arrived to visit Calvin Lawson, Cassidy welcomed him joyfully. "Adam, you're finally here! Come in! My dad and Wyatt are inside, and everyone can't wait to see you!"
Adam entered to find a table full of delicious food. Calvin's eyes sparked with excitement when Cassidy mentioned Adam owned a company.
Calvin and Wyatt sat side by side. Wyatt couldn't remember the previous night but felt pain all over. He turned his neck in discomfort and asked, "Dad, why do I feel like I was beaten up? And I think I saw a beautiful woman."
Calvin replied, "Don't worry, Wyatt. I'll surely find you a pretty wife and a powerful business for Cassidy to support her."
Just then, Cassidy called out, "Dad, Adam is a hero!"
Calvin and Wyatt stood, their eyes brightening at the sight of Adam's noble figure. He looked effortlessly rich and sophisticated.
Calvin stepped forward. "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Alvarez." He reached to shake Adam's hand, but Adam remained motionless.
Cassidy was stunned. "What's wrong, Adam? Weren't you supposed to talk to my dad about our marriage?"
Adam ignored Calvin and Cassidy, his piercing gaze locking onto Wyatt. He slowly approached him.
Wyatt was confused. "Mr. Alvarez, why?"
Before he could finish, Adam slapped Wyatt into the wall, blood trickling from his lips. Adam grabbed his collar and explained, "Now you know who hit you. How dare you covet my partner?" Then, he unleashed a flurry of punches on Wyatt.
