Chapter 386

Celine smiled and said in a clear, pretty voice, "Yes."

James fell to his knees.

"Sir!" Ralph Jarvis, the Lamberts' butler, quickly went to support him. "Sir, what is it?"

James shook his head. "Iโ€”I'm alright." Before he could finish, his wobbly knees gave way, and he fell to the ground again.

"Sir!" Ralph quickly caught him.

Celine rose and approached James, offering support. "James, you don't have to be nervous."

James looked at Celine in disbelief. He never imagined the nationally renowned genius, Dr. C, was such a young girlโ€”and his niece-in-law. This was surreal.

He looked at Celine and asked, "So you're my master?"

Celine nodded. "Yes. Are you acting so strangely because I didn't address you properly? Instead of James, should I have called you Jimmy?"

James fell silent, finally accepting the truth: Celine was Dr. C, and she was his master.

"Dr. C I really didn't think it was youโ€”or should I say, Ms. Tate?" James felt his world tilting. He didn't know how to address her.

Celine smiled. "No worries; we're equals in the academic world. You can just call me Celine."

James found it unbelievable. "Ms. Tate, were you the one who removed Hailey's birthmark?"

Celine nodded. "Yes, it was me."

James finally understood. Everything previously unclear was now revealed. That explained the birthmark's disappearance and how Celine, even dozing in class, could identify his mistakes the second she opened her eyes. These were things no ordinary person could doโ€”unless Celine wasn't ordinary. She was Dr. C.

James's emotions were a whirlwindโ€”excitement, gratitude, but respect dominated.

"Ms. Tate, I've spent considerable time studying Hailey's birthmark, but I never found a way to remove it."

Celine returned to her desk, picked up a pen, and wrote down the formula. "This is the method I used. You can take a look."

James examined it, exclaiming in surprise, "Genius! This is genius. As expected of my master."

Celine smiled. "So, do you have any other reason for coming to see me today?"

James shook his head. "Nothing else. Ms. Tate, are you going to stay for dinner?"

"I have other things to attend to tonight, so I'll be leaving."

Celine and James left the study and went downstairs. Adam and Hailey were still waiting in the living room. Hailey came forward and linked arms with Celine. "Celine, are you finished?"

"Yes. Hailey, I have other things to attend to, so let's go."

"Alright."

However, Adam stepped in front of Celine. "You aren't allowed to leave. I still have things to say to you."

Before Celine could react, James immediately reprimanded him. "Adam, be more respectful! Why are you raising your voice at at Celine?" Adam stared at James as if he'd seen a ghost. "James, what happened to you? Did someone put you under a spell?"

James ignored Adam, smiling widely and politely gesturing Celine toward the exit. "Celine, you're known for your forgiveness and generosity, so you don't need to bother with someone like Adam. You can leave now. In fact, let me see you out."

Adam was stunned. Was James crazy?

Celine glanced at the reprimanded Adam and left with Hailey, who even stuck her tongue out at him. The message was clear.

Adam crossed his arms and snorted disbelievingly. What was wrong with the world?
