Listen to this chapter:

Celine and Hailey entered the car and left. Adam and James remained outside; Adam eyed James suspiciously. "James, what's up with you?"

Once Celine and Hailey's car disappeared, James turned to Adam. "What do you mean, 'what's up with me'? I'm perfectly fine! In fact, I've never felt better."

Adam was speechless. "Don't you remember how you sucked up to Celine?" Adam had never seen James behave like this before.

James bristled. "What do you mean, 'sucked up'? I was showing respect to a master. You wouldn't understand."

"Showing respect to a master? What does that have to do with Celine?" Adam thought James was misusing the term.

"I wanted to talk to Celine just now. Why did you interrupt me? I wanted to ask her if the rumor that she's dating Perry is true."

James nodded. "I think it's true."

"Why?" Adam asked.

James scrutinized Adam before saying seriously, "Because you don't deserve Celine. She deserves better." With that, James went back into the house.

Adam was speechless. This was unbelievable! Where was the James who'd previously felt Celine didn't deserve him?

Celine spent the night at Jupiter Heights. The next morning, Perry's phone call woke her.

Celine answered. "Hey there, handsome."

"Celine, breaking news. Fake Dr. C has run away."

Celine lay lazily on the bed, unsurprised. She'd known the fake Dr. C would flee eventually.

"Celine, Dr. Crook absconded with the entire Tate family's fortune and disappeared. This morning, the court and the bank seized Tate Manor and their companies. The Tate family is in chaos; they have nothing left."

Celine laughed coldly. She felt no pity. She'd warned them, but they'd scoffed.

"They're victims of their own greed and foolishness. Everyone reaps what they sow."

Perry laughed. "Let's watch the show, Celine. Let's see what happens to the Tates next."

At Tate Manor, Sonia, Hayden, Lucy, Carly, Wayne, Hazel, and Tracy gathered in the living room. Court and bank officials were already taping off the house.

Sonia, face flushed, angrily confronted them. "What are you doing? This is my home! Stay out, or I'll sue you for trespassing!"

A court worker looked at her, suppressing a sigh. "You're welcome to try."

Sonia was speechless.

The bank workers produced documents. "You mortgaged everything, including this manor. We're seizing your property. Leave before we're forced to remove you."
