Listen to this chapter:

Suddenly, the door flew open with a loud bang. Matthew, alerted by Rachel’s scream, had burst into the room. Seeing her on the ground, his eyes blazed with anger.

Kyrie, witnessing Matthew’s arrival, shouted, “Get lost! How dare a mere driver ruin my fun? You must be tired of living—” Matthew’s slap silenced him instantly. The blow was so swift that Kyrie was caught off guard, spitting out blood and teeth.

“You… you dared hit me? You’re nothing but a lowly driver! You’re asking for it,” Kyrie snarled, producing a small knife from his waist.

Matthew’s pupils narrowed as he coldly regarded Kyrie. Rachel, rising from the ground, cried out, “Matthew, he has a knife! You can’t beat him. Let’s go.”

Blood dripping from his mouth, Kyrie shouted, his eyes wild, “No one’s going anywhere! You dared lay hands on me? I’m going to cripple you!” He lunged.

A loud thud followed. Kyrie’s body, flung back with greater force than his attack, slammed against the wall and fell to the ground. The knife clattered beside him.

Matthew retrieved the knife and approached Kyrie. “You want to cripple me?” he asked.

Kyrie gritted his teeth, his stomach aching so fiercely that sweat beaded on his forehead. Terror etched his face as Matthew drew near. “W–what do you want?” he stammered.

“You don’t know what I want?” Matthew replied coldly.

Kyrie clutched his stomach, his face contorted with agony. “Retract the article… I—I don’t dare,” he whispered.

“You don’t dare?” Matthew’s gaze was icy, his grip tightening on the knife. “Then what use are you to me?”

Matthew’s approach, knife in hand, sent shivers down Kyrie’s spine. “I’m telling the truth! You have to believe me; I’m not lying! You… you don’t understand the situation, nor the terrifying forces involved. I advise you not to get involved; otherwise, you’ll be in grave danger too!”

Matthew turned to Rachel. “Both of you should leave.”

Rachel, worried, pleaded, “D–Don’t do this… You just got out of prison.”

Matthew gave her a reassuring look. “Don’t worry. Just go.”

Assuming Matthew was merely trying to intimidate Kyrie, Rachel and Tracy left. After they departed, Matthew closed the door slowly.

Kyrie trembled. His voice shook. “D–Don’t use the knife… I’m telling the truth… You’re just a driver! If you get involved, you’re finished! Wealthwave Group will be done too. You can’t imagine what kind of force you’re up against. You guys will die!”

The knife plunged into his body with a sickening thud. Matthew slowly withdrew the blade, blood spurting from the wound. He raised the knife again.

Clutching his wound, Kyrie screamed, “I’ll retract the article! I’ll have Johan retract it immediately!”
