Chapter 445 A Castle in the Snow

Two days later, Sierra packed her bags and boarded the plane with Professor Martin and her senior classmates.

The flight took over ten hours. Sierra had never been on a plane that long before, and by the time they landed, she was completely exhausted. A car picked them up and brought them to the hotel.

Seeing how tired Sierra looked, Professor Martin actually said a rare extra sentence: “Get some early rest tonight. Tomorrow’s meeting is important.”

Sierra quickly nodded and promised she wouldn’t mess anything up.

Back in her room, she sent Johnathan a message, then went to rest.

The next morning, they all rode in a car to a small town. The scenery along the way was beautiful—snowcapped mountains stretched out in every direction.

Sierra felt her mood lighten along with the view.

The car stopped in front of a castle. As soon as Sierra got out, she heard a loud bang, and colorful confetti exploded into the air. She jumped in surprise—then saw someone who absolutely shouldn’t have been there standing at the castle doors.

Sierra opened her mouth but couldn’t get a word out. Before she could react, Dickson and Autumn came running over and pulled her away.

“Quick, quick! You need to change and get your makeup done, or we won’t make it in time.”

Sierra was immediately dragged off. She only had time to glance at Johnathan once—and in that brief second, she saw the indulgent smile in his eyes.

She was taken to a room filled with makeup artists and stylists.

It wasn’t until she saw the snow-white wedding dress that she finally realized what was happening.

“Surprised?” Autumn winked at her. “We’ve been planning this for days! You have no idea how hard it was not to spill the beans. Professor Yaager really went all out. Look at your dress—that’s not rhinestone, those are real diamonds. And this—this is sapphire. Also, this castle? He bought it. Bought it! Can you believe that?”

The castle had originally been privately owned, and the owner refused to rent it. So Johnathan simply spent a fortune to buy the whole thing.

Sierra wasn’t really hearing what Autumn was saying anymore. Her mind was still spinning.

It wasn’t until she put on the wedding dress and saw her reflection in the mirror that the reality hit her.

She and Johnathan were really getting married.

“You’re so beautiful, Sierra,” Autumn couldn’t help saying.

Sierra usually didn’t wear makeup, but her features were striking and defined. With just a bit of enhancement, she looked absolutely stunning.

“Professor Yaager’s going to be knocked out when he sees you. Come on, let’s go!” Autumn hurried her along.

Outside the room, Dickson was waiting. When he saw Sierra, his eyes lit up, and he echoed Autumn’s words, “You look beautiful.”

Then he held out his arm to her. “I’ll walk you down.”

Dickson had clearly dressed up for today too. He’d chosen a black suit to make himself look a little more mature and less boyish.

Sierra understood and placed her hand on his arm, walking with him toward the hall.

The distance from the room to the hall wasn’t far, but it wasn’t exactly short either. Soon, the two of them arrived at the main hall.

The doors opened, and Sierra saw Johnathan standing there in a white suit. When he saw her, he smiled and began walking toward her.

They had just seen each other yesterday, but somehow, watching him walk toward her now made her heart race wildly.

Johnathan had asked her about the wedding before, but she had assumed he would choose Capital City—or maybe the seaside.

She never imagined he would give her a surprise this big.

When Johnathan reached her, Dickson placed Sierra’s hand into his and said seriously: “I’m giving Sierra to you. Take good care of her. If you don’t, I won’t let you off.”

Johnathan nodded solemnly. “I promise.”

At that moment, Sierra’s nose stung.

The little brother she had chosen halfway through her life had become her only family.

From then on, everything felt like a dream.

She saw so many familiar faces—Mateo, Stone, her professor, and seniors—even Wayne was there. And Johnathan’s father…

And then she saw something she never expected.

She saw her grandmother. More accurately, a video of her.

Her grandmother’s face was just as clear as ever on screen, smiling and giving her blessings.

At that moment, Sierra couldn’t hold back her tears anymore. They streamed down her face.

She heard Johnathan say, “Don’t cry. Grandma’s watching.”

She wanted to ask when that video had been recorded. She hadn’t known a thing.

Johnathan didn’t answer. He just squeezed her hand and said, “Last time we brought Grandma to the ocean. This time, she’s here for the snow mountains and the castle.”
