“Of course not! I’ll do as you ordered, Mr. Jennings!” Zayne didn’t dare defy his immediate superior, Xavier.

Leaving Zayne, Xavier called Mr. Scott. “It’s done. I’m sending Jared to discuss the Cosmic Chemical collaboration.”

“Haha… Great job! Do as I say, and I’ll double the Sullivan family’s payment!” The gleeful laughter from the other end of the line ended abruptly.

The caller was Leyton. Xavier knew of Leyton’s grudge against Jared, fueled by Leyton’s theft of Jared’s girlfriend. Sandy suggested, “Ley, he has fighting skills. Tommy isn’t reliable. You’ll need more martial arts experts.”

“I’ve contacted the Crimson Dragon Gang,” Leyton replied. “They're as powerful as Tommy's Templar Regiment.” He knew he couldn't defeat Jared himself and Tommy was untrustworthy. The Scott family, powerful in business, lacked connections to gangs like the Crimson Dragon Gang, requiring a middleman.

Sandy eagerly added, “I want to see the negotiation! I want to see how pathetic he’ll be without Josephine!” The memory of Jared’s past humiliation fueled her anger.

“Sure! Watch me crush him!” Leyton laughed triumphantly.

Back at the sales department, Zayne couldn’t understand Xavier's decision, but obeyed.

“Jared, your arrears are paid. But a sales representative needs to negotiate collaborations. According to company rules…”

“Cut the crap!” Jared interrupted.

Zayne’s expression darkened, but he didn’t dare fire Jared without knowing Xavier's plan.
