Chapter 176: To Look More Imposing

Leyton, his arm in a cast, sat across from Felix in the Vintage Restaurant's general manager's office.

"Why did you contact me, Mr. Scott?" Felix asked, pouring Leyton a cup of tea.

The Scott family were Horington's elite. While the Crimson Dragon Gang didn't fear them, affluent families were valuable, so Felix knew Leyton was there for financial assistance.

"I've heard your capabilities are outstanding, and I see it's true, Mr. Lawson. Even three or five burly men are no match for you!" Leyton complimented.

"Ha! No need to flatter me, Mr. Scott. Just state your business. If it's within my capabilities, I'll assist you," Felix boomed, chuckling.

"Mr. Lawson, I have an enemy. I need men for revenge. I'll pay ten million afterward, with five million as a deposit." Leyton slid a bank card across the table.

"Ha As expected of a wealthy heir! Generous!" Felix was surprised by the immediate offer, but his smile faded. Staring solemnly at Leyton, he said, "Tommy Lewis owes the Scotts a favor. Why not ask him? The Scotts employ many bodyguards. Why the Crimson Dragon Gang? We're at odds with the Templar Regiment. Aren't you choosing the hard way by bypassing the Regiment?"

Felix knew about the Scott family's history with Tommy; it was common knowledge.

"That ungrateful wretch! If not for the Scotts, he'd be dead! Now he's the Sullivan family's dog, severed all ties!" Leyton snarled.

He continued, "I can't use the Scott family's bodyguards! They only obey my father, who thinks I'm still in the hospital."

"Ah, I understand," Felix nodded. "Tommy is close to the Sullivans. Is your enemy a government official's son? We avoid conflict with officials."

"No, just someone who knows martial arts," Leyton hastily assured him.

"Good. Adrian and a dozen men will assist you tomorrow, Mr. Scott. Deal with your enemy as you see fit," Felix said calmly.

"More men, Mr. Lawson?" Leyton asked nervously at the prospect of only a dozen. Jared was too powerful; Leyton had seen him defeat several men in seconds.

"Why? How powerful is this enemy that a dozen men are insufficient?" Felix was surprised.

"No, no, he's not that powerful. More men would look more imposing!" Leyton lied, fearing Felix would back out or demand more money.

"Very well. Thirty men for a show of strength. I hope we work together again!" Felix stood and shook Leyton's hand.

"Thank you, Mr. Lawson!" Leyton exclaimed.

Leaving Vintage Restaurant, Leyton entered his car where Sandy waited.

"How'd it go, Ley?" Sandy asked.

"Just wait and see Jared kneel and beg for mercy tomorrow! I'll crush him and show him my might!" Leyton crowed, his eyes cold.
