Chapter 178: I Will Bankrupt You

Jared had initially wanted to settle the matter peacefully, even though the other party was at fault for cutting him off at the neighborhood gate. However, he didn't expect her to immediately berate him upon exiting her car. This instantly angered him.

"You were the one who abruptly pulled out in front of me! Why are you blaming me for hitting your car?" Jared demanded.

"Why? You shouldn't have blocked my path in your rickety Ford! Is this a place for someone like you?" The woman sneered, then roared at the security guards, "Are you doing your jobs? How could you let such a car into the neighborhood? This is embarrassing!"

The security guards merely stared at the arrogant woman, unable to respond despite their anger. They were, after all, just security guards and couldn't afford to offend her.

Her haughty demeanor made Jared want to slap her. Remembering his training, however, he decided not to waste time. "Name your price. I don't have time for this!" he snapped.

Noticing his impatience, the woman raised her voice. "Do you know how much my car costs? Over two million! Repairs will cost one hundred to two hundred thousand! You couldn't compensate me even if you gave me your car!"

"Just name your price!" Jared's brows furrowed.

"How dare you? I'llโ€”"

As she raised her hand to strike him, Jared grabbed her wrist and slapped her.

Her sunglasses and straw hat flew off, leaving her momentarily stunned. She'd never expected him to retaliate. How dare he, driving a Ford? she thought.

"Great! You hit me! I swear I'll kill you!" she shrieked, pulling out her phone and making a call.

The security guards, while secretly pleased Jared had struck her, realized the situation had escalated. One rushed to get the property manager.

After the call, the woman glared at Jared. "Just wait! My husband will kill you!"

"I don't have time. Move your car, or I'm plowing into it!"

Jared wanted to end this. He hadn't trained regularly lately and wanted to make the most of his time.

"Plow into my car? Go ahead! I'll bankrupt you!" she challenged, unconvinced he would dare. My car's worth millions; he can't afford to pay! she thought.

Seeing her stubbornness, Jared gave up on talking. He got into his car and prepared to ram into her Maserati. "Jared?" Maria exclaimed, surprised to see him. People without wealth or influence rarely visited this place.

Seeing Maria, Zayne, and Lydia, Jared casually asked, "Why are you here?"

"Shouldn't we be asking you? We're buying a house! Why are you here?" Zayne sneered, then glanced at the damaged Maserati. "Jared, your driving skills are lacking. Did you try to cut in?"
