Chapter 212: The Starry Compass

“In your dreams! I’d rather my daughter remain single forever than marry you!” Erasmus gritted his teeth.

Despite Erasmus's anger, Falcon boasted confidently, “If you don't let me help Renée, she'll die within three days. Do you want to watch her die?”

“Do you think you're the only one who knows about frosty constituents? Mr. Chance told us earlier. Stop being so cocky,” Erasmus said. He then looked respectfully at Jared. “Please save my daughter, Mr. Chance! We'll give you privacy!”

Before Falcon's arrival, Erasmus doubted Jared. However, hearing the same information from Falcon solidified his trust in Jared. I'd rather trust Jared than that traitorous Falcon! he thought.

Falcon scowled at Jared. How does he know about the frosty constituent? he wondered. He’d learned about it at Phantom Monastery, from Dorieus, the former head. After leaving Lagrange Monastery, Falcon had followed his mentor to Phantom Monastery.

Dorieus, wielding a customized sword, was immensely strong. This is why Erasmus hadn't dared to fight Falcon, even after Falcon had forced his way into Lagrange Monastery.

“I can heal her, and I believe I can help her unleash her potential,” Jared said, nodding. “You should leave now.”

“Did you see that, Falcon? Mr. Chance can heal Renée. Give up your ridiculous dreams and leave! Otherwise, you'll regret it!” Erasmus threatened.

“Nonsense!” Falcon’s expression changed. “The frosty constituent is full of frosty energy! If Leonidas’s jade scepter was useless, what can this fellow do?”

Falcon panicked; he was no longer the only one who could heal Renée. Leonidas, irritated by being called “ancient,” wanted to attack Falcon but knew he was too weak.

“If I’m so powerless, do you really think you can heal her?” Jared asked.

“Of course! My grandmaster gave me this Starry Compass. It can absorb unlimited frosty energy!” Falcon produced a palm-sized object resembling a compass, except for the seven stars carved into it.

Jared's eyes widened at the sight of the Starry Compass. Incredible! he thought. (Note: The promotional text "Search the FindNovel.net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality" has been removed.)

The Starry Compass emitted a powerful wave of spiritual energy. So that energy wasn't from Falcon, but the compass! I must have it! Jared resolved, prepared to kill Falcon for it.

“It’s just an ordinary compass. You plan to use that to absorb the frosty energy? My jade scepter didn’t work!” Leonidas scoffed.

To him, the compass was unremarkable.

“Old fool! I’ll show you the Starry Compass!” Falcon pointed the compass at Renée.

The Starry Compass shone brightly, absorbing the frosty energy. Renée’s color returned, and she slowly opened her eyes.

The promotional text has been removed as requested. The narrative has been tightened and improved for clarity and flow. Minor inconsistencies in character names (Renee/Renée) have been standardized to Renée.
