Chapter 236: Stupefied

A bloodcurdling scream ripped through the air as Benji severed his left hand. The bloody scene silenced everyone, Leroy most of all. Clutching his bleeding wrist, Benji gasped, "Thank you for sparing my life, Mr. Lewis!"

Tommy replied coldly, "Don't thank me. Thank Mr. Chance."

Benji turned and knelt before Jared. "Thank you, Mr. Chance. I will not forget your kindness!"

Leroy stammered, incredulous, "B-Benji?" He stared, stupefied by the horrifying events.

Benji yelled, "Fucker! Get on your knees!"

Petrified, Leroy instantly knelt, head bowed, silent.

Jared rose and walked toward the exit. Tommy followed, addressing Benji coldly, "Your cousin was disrespectful to Mr. Chance. Teach him a lesson."

"Understood, Mr. Lewis!" Benji nodded fervently.

Jared pointed at Pamela. "Deal with this woman, too."

Already pale and trembling, Pamela fainted at Jared's gesture.

"Yes, Mr. Chance," Benji replied.

Jared's gaze swept the room. His classmates shrank back, averting their eyes. Juliette hid, terrified of a similar fate. Finally, his gaze landed on Virgil. He smiled. "Work hard, Virgil. I trust your abilities. If you need help, seek Tommy's."

"Of course!" Tommy interjected. "Virgil, contact me anytime!"

Virgil could only nod repeatedly.

As Jared and Tommy left, Benji steeled himself. He ordered his men to drag Leroy and Pamela from the restaurant. Terrified screams followed. Benji took Tommy's earlier instructions seriously.

Jared's classmates regretted their earlier taunts. Had they not mocked him, they might have received the unimaginable riches bestowed upon Virgil.

Meanwhile, Jared and Tommy reached their third-floor room.

Jared asked, "Anything from Steven? Has he caused trouble?"

Tommy shook his head. "Nothing. His master, Hydra, is elusive and difficult to track."

Jared scoffed, "Hmph! Even his grandmaster barely frightens me. These ancient martial arts experts are nothing."

"Of course, My Lord. They are no match for your immortal techniques!" Tommy added.

Jared smiled. "No need to flatter me." He produced an enhancement pill. "This increases your abilities. After taking it, Steven will cower."

Tommy was intrigued. The tiny, unassuming pill. Can it really boost my abilities?

He asked curiously, "My Lord, what pill is this?"

"An enhancement pill. Don't underestimate it. The herbs cost millions!"

"What?" Tommy exclaimed, swallowing the pill immediately.

Warmth spread through his abdomen. Soon, he felt a surge of energy.

Jared noticed the change and smiled. "Does your building have a backyard? Go try it out!"

"Yes!" Tommy immediately led him outside.
