Chapter 27: The Launching Event

"Don't worry, Mr. Whitaker. I'll take care of it!" Leyton exclaimed, excitedly opening the car door.

"Wait!" Tyrion called.

"Do you have another order for me, Mr. Whitaker?" Leyton asked.

"I'll be staying in Horington for a few days. Tell that woman to accompany me; I'll be too bored otherwise," Tyrion said, gesturing toward Sandy.

"If you like her, just take her!" Leyton replied nonchalantly. He didn't care about women.

Exiting the car, he looked at Sandy and said, "Your chance is here. Serve Mr. Whitaker well, and you might rise to success!"

Sandy was stunned. Before she could react, the two bodyguards grabbed her, threw her into the car, locked the door, and drove off with Leyton.

Leyton stared at his bandaged arm; a vicious glint flashed in his eyes.

"M-Mr. Whitaker, what are you trying to do?" Sandy asked fearfully, staring at Tyrion.

"Why are you scared? I won't hurt you. Women who accompany me are lucky. Be with me, and no one in Horington will dare offend you."

As Tyrion spoke, he attacked Sandy.

"No…"

The woman feigned struggle before submitting.

The car shook violently; moans emanated from within.

The next morning, after breakfast, Jared called Tommy and found him at the Meadow Restaurant. He wanted Tommy to sell the revitalizing pills immediately and prepare more herbs. Jared needed to accumulate funds and increase his capabilities. He was eager to go to Dragon Island, curious about the island and his mother's refusal to let him go.

Inside a room in the restaurant, Tommy said apologetically, "Mr. Chance, the revitalizing pills are good, but but no one believes us. Considering my identity, people are even less likely to trust us. They accuse me of profiting under the guise of selling medicine. And the pills are so cheap, it makes them even more suspicious!"

He sighed. No one expected the underground king to sell medicine.

"Don't sell the revitalizing pills anymore. Give them away for free! But don't do it secretly. Organize a launching event, stating that only those with a net worth exceeding fifty million can attend. Then you can choose who receives them."

Jared knew they needed publicity to prove the pills' effectiveness.

"Give them all away? Wouldn't that be wasteful?" Tommy asked, knowing the pills were miraculous. He'd felt rejuvenated, as if twenty years younger, after taking one.

"It won't be a waste. If people find them effective and spread the word, we'll unlock a market. Also, send someone to continue buying the ingredients from the list I gave you," Jared instructed.

"Okay. I'll spread the word. The launching event will be held at noon in the restaurant's hall," Tommy said, nodding.

"Okay. I'll be here this morning; find me if anything happens."

Jared decided to stay and ensure the event's success and prevent any problems. While the revitalizing pills strengthened the body, promoted longevity, and benefited men, they didn't cure all diseases. Jared wanted to be present in case the pills proved ineffective due to rare conditions; his intervention might increase public trust.
