“Take her away! If she’s in my hands, Jared will come to me,” Wilbur commanded. His subordinates immediately took Yasmin away.

“Yasmin, Yasmin…” Frida and Zeke called after the departing car. Josephine, however, was stunned.

Her phone rang—it was Jared. He hadn’t received earlier notifications due to the mountain's lack of signal. While driving back to Yeringham, he saw her missed calls and returned her call.

“Josephine, your phone’s ringing!” Frida urged, gently nudging her.

Shaken, Josephine answered. Tears streamed down her face as she saw Jared’s name. “Jared, where are you? Yasmin’s been kidnapped, and Tommy’s hurt. He’s bleeding so much…”

Jared was stunned. A murderous aura emanated from him; his expression darkened. “Wait for me. I’ll be there immediately,” he said before hanging up. He sped towards Yeringham.

Meanwhile, Josephine and the others were frantic, surrounded by blood.

“W-We should call an ambulance, or else he may die!” Josephine whispered, terrified.

Zeke started to call, but Tommy weakly raised a hand. “N-No… Don’t… I’ll wait for Mr. Chance. He’ll heal me,” he choked out.

Though badly injured, he remained conscious. He knew hospital doctors would operate, damaging his energy. He trusted Jared to heal him without surgery.

“Him? Jared’s a doctor, too?” Frida asked, shocked.

“Yes. He saved my father’s life once,” Josephine explained.

“Amazing…” Frida exclaimed. “Rich, a skilled fighter, a doctor, handsome, and loyal! He’s perfect! Josephine’s so lucky!”

Since Tommy refused the hospital, Zeke arranged for him to be carried back to their hotel.

Over half an hour later, Jared’s car screeched to a halt outside. He burst into the room.

“Jared, you’re here!” Zeke exclaimed.

“Where’s Josephine?” Jared asked anxiously.

“She’s fine, in her room with Frida. But Tommy’s dying! You need to see him!” Zeke urged, pulling Jared to Tommy’s room.
