Chapter 334: You Are a Coward
"Mr. Whitaker, the mansion is under heavy guard. No one can enter," the butler stated. "Several Jantz family elites are also on duty. Please don't worry."
Kane waved a dismissive hand from the couch. "Okay. I understand."
The butler departed. Lucy descended the stairs, wearing a face mask.
"Look at you! Cowardly because of that guy? You're getting more timid with age," she taunted.
Kane frowned but remained silent. News of what happened after Alfred's head was returned to the Whitaker residence last night had kept him on edge. He wondered: If Jared is ordinary, why are Tommy, Walter, and Glen so deferential? And why would Horington's richest man allow his daughter to date a commoner? This fueled his decision to increase security.
Lucy huffed at his silence. "I'll check on Tyrion. He needs more nourishment."
She left for Tyrion's mansion. Inside, Yasmin lay silently on Tyrion's bed, her tears soaking the sheets.
Tyrion watched her with unconcealed excitement, slowly unbuttoning her clothes. Catching sight of her body, he nearly had a nosebleed.
"Jackpot!" he exclaimed, licking his lips. He couldn't wait.
Suddenly, the door burst open.
"Who the f*ck is it?! Knock before entering! Are you trying to die?!" Tyrion yelled, startled. His face paled at the sight of his mother. He scrambled to his feet.
"M-Mom… W-What are you doing here?" he stammered.
Lucy saw Yasmin on the bed and glared at Tyrion. "You brat! Do you want to die? You're still injured! What did the doctor say? How dare you!"
"Mom, my leg is crippled… B-Besides…"
"Shut up! Are you talking back to me?" Lucy snapped, then turned to Yasmin. "Get out! I don't understand why Tyrion likes you." (Lucy mistook Yasmin for Josephine.)
Yasmin, buttoning her shirt, fled. The sheer size of the Whitaker residence made escape seem impossible.
After berating Tyrion, Lucy instructed her guards, "Watch her closely! Keep Tyrion away from her, understand?"
"Yes, Mrs. Whitaker!" They readily obeyed, knowing Lucy's ruthlessness. They escorted Yasmin away.
