Chapter 33
"Don't worry! Nobody can kill me!" Jared reassured Josephine with a smile. He then turned to Tommy. "Get a few more men from the Templar Regiment here. Make sure nothing goes wrong this time!"
"Understood!" Tommy nodded and immediately began making calls.
After reassuring Josephine for a few more moments, Jared left the hotel for Summerbank to rescue Yasmin. The moment he left, his smile vanished, replaced by a chilling expression; the air around him seemed to freeze.
Meanwhile, at the Whitaker residence, Tyrion was dumbfounded upon seeing Wilbur's companion. "Uncle Wilbur, you've got the wrong person. I don't know this woman. She's not Josephine," he said exasperatedly.
"What? Did I? But she said she was Josephine. How could that be?" Wilbur asked, confused. "You! What's your name?"
Yasmin trembled as Wilbur's attention shifted to her. She'd heard of the Whitaker family, but this was her first visit to their residence. The sheer size of the mansion and the numerous bodyguards terrified her.
"I-I'm Yasmin," she stammered.
"You f**ing btch! How dare you lie to me!" Wilbur yelled, slapping her. Yasmin's lip bled. Wilbur was clearly not a gentleman.
"What should I do now? Should I send her back and get Josephine?" Wilbur asked.
"Uncle Wilbur, it's fine. Since she's here, no need to send her back. It's perfect timing, actually; I've been bored to death these past few days!" Tyrion replied, a glint of malice in his eyes as he looked at Yasmin.
"Ty, you're wounded. Don't be ridiculous! You need to take care of yourself! If your mother finds out, she'll be furious with me!" Wilbur cautioned.
"Don't worry, Uncle Wilbur. Let's not tell Mom, okay? I know what I'm doing. You don't have to worry," Tyrion said, his gaze fixed on Yasmin. He ignored his injuries; the confinement had driven him nearly mad.
"Then you'd better be careful. I'm going now. Call if you need anything. I'll be back to Yeringham tomorrow," Wilbur said, leaving and closing the door.
"Hey, beauty. Don't be afraid. Come sit on top of me. Obey me, and I'll send you back tomorrow. Resist, and you'll regret it," Tyrion said.
Terror consumed Yasmin. She obeyed; she had no other choice. Tears streaming down her face, she slowly approached and sat beside him.
Tyrion erupted in laughter, captivated by her scent and pitiful appearance. It was his first genuine laugh since his injury.
Meanwhile, the Whitaker residence's yard was brightly lit, with bodyguards patrolling. Wilbur had even assigned some subordinates to Kane to protect the family. Kane felt a growing unease, particularly after Alfred's murder the previous night. Jared's threats echoed in his mind, fueling his fear that Jared might attack the residence.
