Chapter 397: I Have Ultimate Power

Phoenix glared at Zedekiah, saying coldly, "You must underestimate the Phoenix Regiment if you came seeking vengeance alone!"

"Hmph! You barbarians are ants to me. Why bother with reinforcements?" Zedekiah sneered, charging at Phoenix a moment later.

His speed was overwhelming. Before Phoenix could react, he struck her chest, sending her flying. Despite her Internal Energy Grandmaster status, she was no match for him.

"Phoenix!" Tommy struggled to his feet, wanting to help but unable to stand.

Anthony and his Department of Justice subordinates arrived. "How dare you attack people in Summerbank?" he shouted. He'd come without telling Lizbeth, knowing she would inform Josephine.

Zedekiah disdainfully glanced at Anthony. "Get lost! I don't care about your Department of Justice dogs! Stay out of this if you value your lives!"

Anthony's rage flared. "Attack! Kill him!"

Seeing Zedekiah's unconcern, Phoenix used their numbers. "Get him!"

Hundreds of Phoenix Regiment members charged. Zedekiah smiled arrogantly. "Infinite Darkness Formation!"

He swept his sleeve, releasing a dense black fog that blotted out the sun. Darkness enveloped them. Unable to see, the Regiment panicked as they heard the dying screams of their comrades.

"Hahaha! I have ultimate power within my formation! You're nothing but meat!" Zedekiah cackled maniacally.

Watching her loyal subordinates die, Phoenix's eyes reddened. She knew they would all perish, but couldn't order a retreat. Their sacrifice would buy Jared time.

"Please wake up, Mr. Chance!" Tommy cried, witnessing her agony.

"Don't let him enter the mansion, Tommy, even if it costs your life. I'm coming…" Phoenix charged into the fog.

"Phoenix!" Tears streamed down Tommy's face as he pounded the ground. Am I going to lose Phoenix before I confess my feelings?

Screams continued, each one a knife to Tommy's heart. He couldn't distinguish Phoenix's.

Anthony and his men watched, stunned, knowing they were powerless to help.

Boom!

A loud explosion echoed as the white fog around the mansion condensed into a giant sword, which hurtled toward the black fog.
