Chapter 115: Brucel
"Hurry up and cut the crap!" Bruce urged impatiently.
Bruce thought, This is Grandma's family heirloom. It should be for my wife; Grandma couldn't really give it to Roxanne.
When Roxanne heard this, she felt like she had fallen into an ice cave. She cried, "Bruce, Grandma gave this to me!"
Bruce replied coldly, "This is a gift from Grandma to my wife." His implication was clear: he wouldn't marry Roxanne.
BOOM!
Roxanne looked as if she had been struck by lightning. Her eyes widened as she stared at him.
"Bruce, what do you mean by that?"
Bruce pondered for a few seconds, then frowned. "The literal meaning!"
Roxanne's eyes were full of fear and disappointment. "Are you saying you won't marry me?" she asked, her voice shaking.
Bruce remained silent.
"Bruce, answer me now. You will marry me, won't you?"
Bruce explained, "Grandma is seriously ill, so I need you to cooperate. We'll pretend to be a loving couple for her. We can get a marriage certificate if you want, but you have to sign a prenuptial agreement. Also, don't expect too much from me, especially don't expect me to be monogamous."
Roxanne felt desperate.
Bruce urged, "Hurry up and take off the jewelry!" He continued, "If you want, I can buy you another set. You can't keep this one."
Roxanne sobbed. "Bruce"
Bruce interrupted coldly, "Don't make me repeat myself!"
Roxanne dared not disobey. She silently removed the jewelry and returned it to the box.
Bruce took the box and handed her a black card. "Go buy yourself another set. Use this."
Bruce, feeling embarrassed about reclaiming a gift from a woman, wanted to compensate Roxanne. Roxanne sniffled. "Bruce, don't you love me anymore?"
Bruce frowned. "Don't ask that again. You know the answer."
Squeak! The car stopped in front of the Haynes' house.
"Here we are. Get out."
Roxanne remained seated, clutching his arm. "Bruce, what did I do to make you hate me so much?"

Chapter 115 (continued)
"It must be Joanna. Before she came back, we loved each other. You've changed so much since she returned. You don't love me anymore"
Bruce impatiently retracted his arm. "I've said it before. Don't involve Joanna! She's Joanna, you're you. You two can't be compared!"
"Hurry up and get out of the car. I have a meeting!"
Roxanne sniffled, sadly opening the car door. As she got out, Bruce sped away.
Roxanne's eyes were bloodshot. She stomped her foot, muttering, "Bruce, you'll regret this!"
Half an hour later, Bruce arrived at the Everett Group. He subconsciously locked his car after parking. As he was about to enter the elevator, he noticed a reflection. He thought, Something's wrong. The car's front looks strange!
He frowned and returned to the car, bending down to examine the damage. He was infuriated. The car had been hit, and the repair was shoddy, ruining the hood.
Roxanne had casually mentioned a minor scrape over the phone, and Bruce hadn't thought it significant because she hadn't asked him to involve the insurance company.
He checked the dashcam footage. He saw Roxanne in the car with a stranger—the person who'd hit his car. They hadn't been overtly inappropriate, but they seemed very intimate. He probably wouldn't have checked the dashcam if he hadn't noticed the damage. That's why Roxanne had dared to drive around with Gavin so openly.
A chill ran down his spine. He thought, This man and Roxanne aren't just friends!
"Andy!" Bruce shouted.
"Yes, Mr. Everett?"
"Check this person out."
"No problem, sir."
"Send all his information to my email in ten minutes."
"Got it."

Chapter 115 (continued)
Ten minutes later, Andy sent Gavin's information. Bruce clicked and read it, thinking, He's from the same school as Roxanne. No other unusual information. She often meets classmates or goes to parties. I can't conclude they have a special relationship.
Besides, in our six years together, Roxanne always seemed pure and innocent. She'd blush for ages if I held her hand, be too shy to open her eyes if I kissed her. Her face would pale, and she'd tremble if I tried to touch her.
She told me she didn't believe in premarital sex.
I don't think such a conservative girl would cheat. I always respected her and never pressured her because of her beliefs.
But all this suggests she's two-faced!
In the hospital, Joanna had completed her discharge paperwork. The doctor advised her to stay longer, but she wanted to go home that day to her three children.
"Miss Haynes, are you sure you want to leave?"
"Yes. I'm fine. I need to pick up Davian and Irvin in Venturas."
Cora said worriedly, "But you're still weak"
Joanna interrupted, "Don't worry! I'm okay."
Joanna insisted on leaving soon after Bruce departed. It was the weekend, and she needed to get to Venturas. She set off in the afternoon, arriving as dusk fell. The boys were anxious.
"Mommy, why are you so late?"
Joanna replied, "I had something to do."
"Okay, let's go home!"
The boys excitedly boarded the boat. Greyport and Venturas were coastal cities across the sea from each other, making boats the most convenient transport.
Irvin said, "Mommy, I have something to tell you."
Joanna smiled. "Okay."
Irvin tilted his head. "Mr. Grimm said I have acting talent!"
"And?"

Chapter 115 (continued)
"He said I could become a star!"
"Irvin, you're just a kid. Focus on your studies."
Irvin argued proudly, "But I'm interested in acting! His company is filming a movie and needs a cute baby! He thinks I'm perfect!"
Joanna laughed, asking, "What do you think?"
Irvin answered, "I'm so cute, smart, and talented, I'll definitely get the part!"
Joanna frowned, unsure whether to laugh or cry. When did he get so confident? However, she respected her children's aspirations.
"Do you really want to do this?" Joanna asked.
"Yeah! Absolutely!"
"Davian, what do you think?"
Davian coolly replied, "Mommy, let Irvin go if he wants this opportunity."
Joanna sighed. "You two always get your way, don't you?"
Irvin clung to her arm. "Mommy, please! I really want to be in that movie!"
"Alright! If you really want to, I'll call Mr. Grimm. But you can't avoid hard work. You still need to focus on your studies." She paused. Am I being too harsh? They're only four. I shouldn't treat them like this. I should support their dreams.
"What do you like, Davian?"
Davian replied, "I like playing on the computer, like computer games!" He was naturally gifted with numbers and self-taught computer skills, suggesting potential as a programmer or hacker.
"Great! I'll call Mr. Grimm tomorrow!"
