Chapter 116
Davian and Irvin dropped their school bags and raced excitedly to Lilia's room, shouting, "Lilia, we're back!"
"Davian! Irvin! You're finally home!" Lilia waved her small hands and laughed brightly. Tracy quickly transferred Lilia to her wheelchair.
"Look! We have a gift for you!" Davian and Irvin presented their sister with a paper airplane. They doted on Lilia, knowing she was sick and needed extra love. Every day after kindergarten, they brought her a gift. "Thank you, Davian and Irvin. This paper airplane is beautiful!"
"Of course, we made it ourselves! It flies really far. Making paper airplanes was our craft project today." Irvin demonstrated by throwing the airplane. It soared across the room before hitting the wall. "Lilia, look! Didn't it fly far?"
Lilia clapped and giggled. "Wow! You guys are awesome! I'm so happy!"
"Mommy, can we take Lilia to Burger King, like last time?"
"Okay. Lilia loves their fries. Can we go?"
"There's a slide and a playground!"
Joanna, slightly frustrated, replied, "Well, it seems you both really want to go." She didn't approve of so much junk food, but relented. It seemed most children loved burgers, fried chicken, and fries.
Lilia pouted. "Mommy, I want to go too!"
Joanna thought, It'll be alright if it's just once a week! "Sure! But it's too late today. How about tomorrow?"
The three children nodded excitedly. "Yay!" The boys yelled, "Now let's play with Lilia!"
Joanna smiled at her three adorable children. No matter how hard life gets, seeing them makes all my worries disappear.
The next morning, the three children woke early. Joanna rose to make breakfast. Despite her demanding job and pressure, she always spent weekends with her kids. Beep. Beep. Her phone rang.

Joanna answered to see Jaydon calling. "Hi, Jay!"
"Joann, are you busy?" Jaydon sounded slightly upset. "Am I bothering you?"
Hearing his tone, Joanna felt apologetic. She'd stood him up a few times due to Bruce's interference. She wanted to apologize over lunch. "How could that be? I was just about to call you!"
Jaydon smiled. "Is that so?"
"Yes," Joanna replied.
"Anything I can do for you?"
Joanna paused, smiling awkwardly. "Well, you mentioned needing Irvin to audition for your movie. I asked him, and he really wants to do it! Have you cast that role yet?"
Irvin ran over. "Mommy, is that Mr. Grimm?"
"Yes, it's Mr. Grimm."
"Mommy, give me the phone! I want to talk to Mr. Grimm!" He reached for the phone.
Joanna handed it over.
"Hello, Mr. Grimm. This is Irvin!"
"Hi, Irvin!"
Irvin proudly announced, "Mr. Grimm, I've convinced Mom. She said I can do it!"
Jaydon chuckled. "That's great. Are you free this afternoon? I could bring you to the studio for an audition."
Irvin pouted. "Hmph. My acting is wonderful. Do I need an audition?"
"Well, we need some photos. It's an action movie. You'll play the young male lead, so we need to get your costume fitted."
"Alright then!"
Jaydon said kindly, "Perfect! Now give the phone back to your mommy!"
"Mommy, here's your phone!"
Joanna took the phone. "Hi, Jay."
"Joann, it's a deal. No more changes!"
"No problem."
"I'll pick you up later."
Joanna hesitated, not wanting to trouble him. "Why don't you give me the address? I'll drive."

"No, I'll pick you up." Jaydon was firm.
Joanna smiled and agreed. "Alright then."
"Okay, I'll hang up now."
"See you later!"
As Joanna hung up, Irvin jumped. "Oh, oh! I'm going to be a movie star!"
"Mommy, Mr. Grimm said it's an action movie! I'll be the young male lead—a hero who knows powerful martial arts!" Davian said dismissively, "What's so great about being a star? You should be a superhero and save the Earth!"
"Davian, you be the superhero! I want to be a star and make lots of money for Mommy! I'm a handsome boy. I'll be famous overnight! Just wait and see!"
Joanna frowned. "Irvin, it's good to be confident, but don't be arrogant. Overconfidence can be condescending."
Irvin proudly put his hands on his hips. "Hmph, I'm not arrogant. I'm telling the truth! Lilia, look at me. Am I handsome?"
Lilia clapped. "Irvin is so handsome!"
Joanna sighed. Irvin's getting a thick skin. Who does he take after? "Hurry up and eat breakfast. Mr. Grimm will be here soon!"
"Got it!"
After breakfast, Joanna left with the three children, Tracy, and Miranda. I don't want to waste this precious Sunday. I'm taking Lilia out.
They found Jaydon waiting. "Hi, Jay. You're here," Joanna greeted him.
The children greeted him in unison, "Hello, Mr. Grimm!"
"Davian, Irvin, and Lilia!" Jaydon smiled, loading Lilia's wheelchair into his Hummer. "Get in the car, kids!"
The car was large but lacked enough seats. Joanna pointed out, "We can't all fit. I'll take another car."
Jaydon suggested, "It's fine. Maybe Miranda and Tracy don't need to come."
Joanna hesitated. "Well" She needed help managing three children, especially Lilia.
Jaydon smiled. "We can handle three kids, can't we?"
Joanna agreed. "Alright." Jaydon often helped, and the children preferred him to her.
The children buckled up. Jaydon had a special car seat for Lilia. Joanna sat in the passenger seat. He drove toward the studio in Hunter Bay.
About twenty minutes into the drive, Joanna's phone vibrated. It was Bruce. "Bruce is haunting me again." She hung up. He called repeatedly, but she ignored him and silenced her phone. He then sent several angry and demanding texts.
Jaydon noticed her frown. "What's going on? Is it Bruce?"
