Chapter 1107

Today marked the end of Harvey's college entrance exams, and Skylar had just returned home. Steven and Charles were also back. Joe, however, had been swamped with work and couldn't join them.

"Skylar, you promised me a vacation, right? Anywhere I choose?" Harvey asked, scrolling through travel guides on his phone.

Skylar nodded. "Of course. Anywhere you want to go."

"I'll cover all your expenses," Charles declared, "You can spend as much as you want." His recent endorsements and acting gigs had left him feeling quite affluent.

Steven smiled and added, "I'll contribute too."

Skylar thoughtfully suggested, "We should bring Mom along." Janine had worked tirelessly to raise them, and a vacation was long overdue. With Harvey's exams finished and college on the horizon, this trip would be a perfect opportunity for her to relax.

"You two can go have fun," Janine said with a smile. "I'm getting old and can't keep up with your pace. I don't want to hold you back." Seeing her children happy and healthy filled her with contentment.

"No way, Mom!" Harvey insisted. "If you're not going, neither am I. Since Charles is paying, we should all enjoy ourselves."

Skylar agreed. "Harvey's right. If you're not going, neither are we." She was genuinely excited about a family trip.

Janine, unable to resist their enthusiasm, conceded. "Alright, alright. I give in. I'll go with you. Now, relax and watch some TV while I make dinner."

"Mom, don't bother," Steven interrupted. "We're eating out. I've already booked a restaurant."

Charles added, "I was a little late on that. I wanted to book a restaurant too, but Steven beat me to it."

Skylar and Harvey echoed in unison, "Thanks, Steven."

"Everything's taken care of, huh? Perfect. I won't cook then," Janine said, her joy evident. She felt a sense of peace, her worries about her children eased.

Life had been kind to her. Despite the loss of Finn at a young age, Janine had been blessed with four wonderful childrenโ€”a happiness others could only envy.

They took two cars to a Wiscadian restaurant, Steven having chosen it to suit Janine's preferences. He'd even reserved a private room. Skylar vaguely remembered the restaurantโ€”good food, pleasant atmosphere.

As soon as they were seated, Skylar checked her phone, realizing she'd missed a message from Joe. "Did Lizzie contact you?" she asked.

Skylar wasn't sure why Lizzie would need her, replying, "No. Is there something going on?"

Joe responded, "It's about her family. She might need you to visit the Garza Residence in the next couple of days."

Skylar replied, "Let's talk when I get back tonight."

Joe said, "Alright. Enjoy your time with your family. I'll take them all out for dinner one of these days."

After ending the conversation, Skylar noticed Steven's absence. "Where's Steven?" she asked.

Janine smiled. "He went to the restroom. He's already ordered everything we like."

"I've heard this is the most famous Wiscadian restaurant in Jipsburg," Harvey remarked, his large appetite heightened by the completion of his exams. He was eager to eat.

The sight of Steven, Skylar, and Charles already earning money fueled Harvey's ambition to become independent once he started college.

After leaving the restroom and answering a work call, Steven was bumped into by someone. He froze upon seeing the individual.
