Skylar silently stood, grabbing her phone. She worried about missing updates from Jeremy; there might be news about Paul.

When she finally checked her phone, a new WhatsApp message awaited. Disappointed, she saw it wasn't from Jeremy, but Ned. His profile picture caused her to pause before opening the message.

It read: "Almost all flights at the airport have been canceled today."

Unsure of its meaning, Skylar wondered if Ned simply expressed concern for her travel safety.

Noticing her dazed expression and troubled silence, Charles asked, "Who is it? Is someone bothering you?"

"It's Ned."

"Ned?" Charles, momentarily confused, then remembered. "Ned? The guy who looks a lot like Joe?" He'd seen news reports during filming downtime and heard Steven mention Ned. To Charles, they appeared virtually identical. Given Ned's involvement in past projects involving faked deaths and assumed identities, he suspected Ned might be a cover for Joe. However, he considered that, if true, a profound betrayal of Skylar after her three-year search. He quickly dismissed it as unfounded speculation.

Skylar replied, "Yeah, it's him."

"Isn't he engaged? Why is he contacting you privately? Does he have inappropriate intentions?" Charles asked, his tone sharp. He found it frustrating how some men, seemingly polished, could be utterly unscrupulous, believing wealth entitled them to anything. The thought of such a man pursuing his sister ignited his fury.

"No. We've only met a few times. I added him on WhatsApp after a chance encounter at the hospital. He and Joe share similar headaches and insomnia; I offered advice," Skylar explained honestly. She didn't believe a near-stranger would be interested in her romantically; Ned was likely just being polite.

Charles raised an eyebrow. "Skye, I'm a man; I know how men think. There's no such thing as a free lunch. If a man is overly kind, it's usually for a reason. I doubt his intentions are pure. Be careful."

"Okay," Skylar replied, nodding.

After a moment's thought, she texted Ned: "The flight was canceled." She then set aside her phone, quickly forgetting the exchange. Skylar and Charles napped.

Waking at 5:00 pm, they found the rain still falling. Skylar still hadn't heard from Jeremy. As she gazed at her wedding photo with Joe, a video call appeared. It was from Ned. Hesitantly, she answered. To her surprise, Rosa appeared on screen instead.
