"I've been drinking, and my driver's taken the day off," Joe said. "Can you drive me there?"

Skylar, having recently received a car, felt embarrassed to refuse. "Sure, I'll take you," she replied.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at a club.

"Come in with me," Joe told Skylar. "Afterward, we can go home together."

Skylar had planned to drop Joe off and go home, as meeting friends at this hour could mean staying out all night. However, since he'd mentioned returning home together, she decided to see it through.

"How should I introduce myself to your friends?" Skylar asked.

Joe briefly fixed his eyes on her before saying, "Just say you're my secretary."

"Alright," she replied. She was determined to play the role perfectly without any slip-ups.

After entering the club, they went to the top floor. The club was remarkably quiet—a haven for the privacy-conscious elite, it seemed.

Skylar, though she'd never been to such a place, wasn't curious. Natalie had previously described the club, saying the cost of a single night equaled several years of a regular family's living expenses. She'd mentioned Jeremy taking her there a few times to meet friends, but rarely saw Joe there due to his busy schedule.

When Joe appeared, the four men playing poker were momentarily stunned. Each man was accompanied by a beautiful woman—two of whom seemed to be female celebrities. Skylar, a casual drama watcher, noticed the difference between reality and television; both women were leading actresses, even more dazzling in person.

The four men were frequently involved in various scandals, always seen with celebrities, internet sensations, or models—a different companion each day. Skylar recognized them immediately from the constant gossip: Mark Milton, Ethan Stewart, Rowan Jakeman, and Lukas Larsson. Ethan and Lukas were particularly notorious in entertainment news, seemingly competing to see who could change partners fastest. Rowan and Mark, however, seemed to be single. "Secretary?" Rowan winked at Joe.
