Chapter 164

Skylar called Joe. "Mr. Martin," she said, "as long as we're married, I'm happy to give you a daily head massage to improve your sleep. But I need a favor in return." She knew the massages significantly improved his sleep.

"What favor? Shoot," Joe replied, accepting his coffee from Paul. He was on a golf break with friends when she called, so it was a surprise. He'd actually been considering asking her for daily massages, so her call was a relief.

"Charles and Samuel are filming, and we have a conflict today. Given Samuel's despicable nature, he'd definitely"

Joe understood immediately. "Alright, I'll handle it."

"Thank you."

After the call, Joe instructed Paul, who went to a secluded area and made two phone calls. Meanwhile, Joe watched Jeremy teach Annabelle golf.

"Mr. Hughes and his secretary seem to have a rather 'special' relationship," Paul remarked quietly afterward, glancing at them.

Annabelle stamped her foot. "Mr. Hughes, I'm so clumsy!"

Jeremy held Annabelle's hand; they were very close. His eyes were tender as he said, "Try again. I'll teach you until you get it."

"With you as my instructor, Mr. Hughes, I'll work hard, even if I'm slow. I wouldn't want to disappoint you." Annabelle took a deep breath, puffing out her cheeks. She was adorable and undeniably sexy.

Paul wondered about Jeremy's relationship with Annabelle. Didn't he adore his childhood sweetheart, his wife? Why was his relationship with his secretary becoming ambiguous? The other CEOs seemed accustomed to such things; they likely knew about Jeremy and Annabelle beforehand.

Joe glanced at a WhatsApp message from Skylar: a thank-you emoji and a message saying she'd add two dishes to his dinner. He smiled, anticipating the feast.

Chapter 164

The assistant director accepted $20,000 from Samuel. Samuel went to change clothes. He stared uneasily at the villa across from him. As the male lead, he was sharing an apartment with other crew members—a building clearly for temporary staff who cleaned the villa. Though well-equipped, it wasn't comparable to a five-star hotel. Several villas stood across, reserved for high-profile guests and off-limits to most. He, the male lead, couldn't stay in one, while the director could.

After brooding, he donned his costume and went to his next scene. Charles, the fourth male lead, had few scenes.
