Chapter 224

Sadie said, "We met Skye, but she didn't tell us anything. Your dad and I figured out who her sugar daddy is."

Maisy's heart sank. Her grip tightened on her phone. Was her worst fear about to come true? She didn't want Sadie and Jeffrey to know about Skylar's relationship with Joel. If they found out, they would certainly favor Skylar, and Maisy would lose her place in the family.

"Well… who do you two think it is?" she asked.

"It's John Gardner, Mr. Gardner Senior's younger son. He's just gotten engaged and wouldn't want others to know he has a mistress," Sadie replied. "Don't tell anyone about this, okay? Skylar's found herself an influential lover. Still, she's a mistress, and we can't bear the humiliation if this comes to light."

Maisy was stunned. "John?" she exclaimed. Why would they think it was him? She had suspected him, too, but could she have been wrong? Annie had seemed certain. Which of them had guessed incorrectly? How she wished Skylar were John's mistress!

"Yes, we're sure it's him," Sadie said. "You should get some rest, Maisy. You've been on tenterhooks ever since this started. Now that there's hope for a better outcome, stay home and look after yourself. Don't worry." Sadie ended the call.

Maisy stared at her phone, falling into a trance. Could it really be John? Even though she knew Joe was more likely, she didn't want the Williams family to know that. So, if they assumed it was John, let it be!

Casting her phone aside, she went to the restroom and stared at her weary reflection. She'd had a blast last night. The new drug had given her a feeling of euphoria.

Just as she was reminiscing, she received a message from Christopher. She frowned in frustration. She'd stopped having feelings for him long ago. Given that he was just someone Skylar had dumped, there was no way Maisy would want him. However, he had sent her videos. Initially dismissing them, she played one. She thought he was trying to win her back with videos of their past dates.

But when she heard her own suggestive, unrestrained voice, her eyes widened. She watched the video carefully. It was a video of her and the man she'd met last night! The video clearly recorded her unbridled actions. After taking the drug, she'd been in a frenzy and completely out of control.

There was another video. The next one shocked her even more. After the first man left, several others had entered the room. She'd been unaware of what she was doing and couldn't remember anything. All she knew was that the room was empty and a mess when she woke up. She hadn't thought much of it at the time.

But now, watching the video, she realized how outrageous she'd been. She always enjoyed a good time, but this was not what she had in mind!

Her fingers trembled as she dialed Christopher's number. "How did you get these videos? Where did you get them from? Christopher, I demand an explanation!" It was her in the video, and she knew it. If the videos were leaked, it would be the end of her.
