Skylar softly comforted her. “Nancy is strong. What’s done is done. It’s best if she can figure out her path and settle her future as quickly as possible.”

“Yes, she’s strong. If I were in that situation, I might have collapsed. I can’t imagine what would happen if Jeremy betrayed me. I’m not as strong as I appear. I may seem unconcerned, but I’m really scared,” Natalie sighed. Nancy’s ordeal had prompted her to deeply reflect on herself.

When he saw Skylar, he was slightly stunned. Fortunately, he was used to facing criminal suspects and maintained his composure. He thought Skylar was even more stunning in person than in the photos, which made him question his suitability.

“Hello, Ms. Sullivan. I’m Nath’s cousin, Elliott.” Elliott extended his hand.
