Paul obediently slowed the car, making the journey smoother. He couldn't help thinking huffily, "I'll gladly offer my head on a silver platter if Mr. Martin insists he hasn't fallen for Skylar!"

How could Joe not like her, given his attentiveness to her needs?

After arriving at Galaxy Villa, they returned to their rooms to bathe.

Following his shower, Joe flopped onto his bed, patiently waiting for Skylar's massage. He flipped through a book while waiting. The room was quiet and peaceful.

He was surprised when the door creaked open. Skylar usually knocked before entering to give him a massage; she'd never been so bold as to simply push the door open.

Joe set aside his book and turned to Skylar. Before he could properly see her, wet-haired Skylar pounced, her full weight behind the movement. She lay on top of him, gently cupping his face and kissing him passionately.

Her kisses snapped him to attention. His eyes glinted dangerously as he asked, "Do you know what you're doing?"

He was a man—a normal man with needs—and he had no desire to suppress his urges when the woman he intended to spend his life with had approached him this way.

Skylar didn't answer, but her hands slyly slipped under his shirt, as if to explore a side of him he'd never shown anyone. Joe understood this as silent agreement to take their relationship further. He immediately took the lead, pushing Skylar down. She wore only a flimsy bathrobe. After removing his own shirt, his slender fingers toyed with the robe's hem, gently tugging it open to reveal a wondrous sight.

Desire darkened Joe's eyes, and his breath quickened. The room grew hotter with their passion.

Skylar furrowed her brow, seeming to endure something. This odd look brought Joe back to his senses. Embracing her, feeling her warmth against his skin, he forced himself to remain calm. Yet, she seemed distant, unfocused.

"Skylar, answer me."

Skylar abruptly raised her head and kissed his Adam's apple, her teeth scraping his skin slightly. The contact stung.

"Skylar, what's wrong?"

They had only visited Pearhall Residence and Doherty Residence that day, returning promptly to Galaxy Villa afterward. He was certain she hadn't been drugged. Her current behavior, therefore

"I'll have my way with you if you don't get yourself together. You hear me?" Joe said huskily. Skylar was testing his self-control.

"Joe, are you scared?" she retorted provocatively.
