Chapter 257
“Let’s go. We can finally meet Austin in person. Charles said the movies failed to capture Austin’s charisma properly,” Skylar said, taking the box of cookies with satisfaction.
“Of course, the actor I like is charismatic! He’s got to be one of the finest men in real life!”
The golf course staff had provided the film crew with a spacious area, despite the numerous staff milling about. Naturally, many fans waited beyond the set, eager for a glimpse of Austin.
Charles, playing a villain with limited screen time, had a surprisingly interesting character. The director’s professionalism, combined with the film’s success (selling out and winning awards), had attracted many celebrities to the set. Charles had earned this opportunity after a successful audition.
“Charles is handsome! Can you take a picture of us when he’s finished? I can post it on my Instagram when he gets famous,” Natalie said, craning her neck. Though she didn’t see Austin yet, she did catch a glimpse of Charles.
He didn’t notice her and Skylar, engrossed in preparing for his scene.
“Let’s go over there. It’s too crowded here. We can barely see a thing,” Skylar said, unable to see more than half of Charles’s face even on tiptoe.
They waded through the crowd to a more secluded area. There, they finally saw Austin, who was to work with Charles.
Some people are born actors; they can effortlessly transform, making their changes seem natural.

He was indeed charismatic. Skylar noted a similar bearing in Austin and Charles, confidently predicting Charles’s rise to movie stardom. He definitely had the talent.
“Oh, my God! He’s so hot! Austin’s such a hunk! How could he be this good-looking? Gosh, I’m going to swoon! This is a dream come true. Oh, how I wish I could marry him!” Natalie exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Skylar couldn’t help but remind her, “I can see you drooling. Have you forgotten you’re married?”
Natalie giggled. “You know what I mean. I’m just expressing my excitement at finally seeing him in person.” Her heart belonged to Jeremy, but that didn’t diminish her fandom.
“I might not have a chance to marry him, but you certainly do! Skylar, take this opportunity to get his contact information now that Charles is working with him. You could even ask him out! You’re as gorgeous as those movie stars,” Natalie said, outlining her plan.
She truly was Skylar’s best friend, always concerned about Skylar’s romantic life.
“Sadly, I’m also a married woman. Guess I’m out of the running,” Skylar replied, mentioning her marital status again.
Natalie refused to believe her. “Skylar, if you keep this up, I’ll start believing you. Do you think I’m unaware of how small your social circle is?”
“Fine. You can look at the picture on our marriage certificate,” Skylar said, remembering a picture on her phone. She’d taken it when they received the certificate, completely forgetting about it until then.
She found the picture, shoved her phone in Natalie’s face, and said, “Take a good look. I’m a married woman.”

“Oh, my! It’s the real deal! When did this happen? I didn’t know you had someone else besides Christopher! How did you get married so soon?” Natalie was genuinely astonished. Her eyes widened even further as she saw the man standing next to Skylar.
“Hang on now.”
