Chapter 341

Under Natalie's influence, Skylar had watched movies and dramas starring Austin. She wasn't as big a fan as Natalie, but she was still a fan nonetheless. However, she couldn't bring herself to lie. Gazing at Joe, she solemnly said, "Of course, I think you're more handsome than him. Besides"

Her gaze fell on his toned abdominal muscles and iliac crests. Immense power seemed to emanate from his defined physique. Joe sensed her gaze and felt a tightening in his throat.

"Besides?" he asked.

Skylar immediately looked away, blushing slightly. "Besides, you have a better physique than him."

She'd once watched a movie where Austin played a killer, including shirtless scenes. While subjective, she would have agreed with Natalie that Austin had a nice physique—if she hadn't seen Joe's. Skylar blushed as she sincerely praised Joe.

Noticing this, Joe's gaze softened. "I may not be able to restrain myself if you keep looking at me like that."

"Hold what back?" Skylar was stunned.

Joe leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "Hold back the urge to make love to you."

Skylar almost dropped the photos. She'd come to understand Joe's wild and domineering nature in bed, but they weren't alone. "How dare you say such things?" she exclaimed, displeased.

Joe kissed her. After a passionate kiss, he murmured seductively, "You should call me that when we're in bed. I like that."

Still breathless, Skylar glared at him. Joe arched an eyebrow. "Do you prefer it this way?"

Skylar was speechless. She didn't!

After returning to the hotel, Joe received a call from Paul, likely about Jenny. Skylar didn't inquire. She tidied her belongings, putting the photos in her luggage, then checked her phone on the couch.

Janine and the others were concerned about her safety in Korel City, reminding her to take care of herself. Steven, aware of her relationship with Joe, was the least worried, simply telling her to enjoy her stay and promising to introduce her to his girlfriend upon her return.

"You should rest. I'm going to the hospital," Joe said after changing.

"Sure," Skylar nodded. "It's probably rush hour now. Be careful."

Joe was moved by her concern. His gaze lingered on her; he felt the urge to hug her. Noticing him still at the door, Skylar asked, puzzled, "What's wrong?"

She'd just checked herself in the mirror: slightly tanned, but otherwise unremarkable.

"It's nothing," Joe said, withdrawing his gaze. "I may be back late. You should go to bed first." He then left.
