Jeremy called Skylar, but she didn't answer immediately. She wondered if the call was about Natalie. After a few seconds, she answered, "Mr. Hughes."

"I need your assistance," Jeremy said seriously. "I know you've worked with Mr. Gardner Sr. and Mr. Doherty Sr."

Skylar realized something. "Mr. Hughes, please be direct."

Since he'd mentioned Alexander and Frank, it wasn't about Natalie. Jeremy's call reminded her of something she'd overlooked.

"I have some items that seem out of place," Jeremy said. "Should I send them to you, or photos?"

"Send photos first," Skylar replied.

Jeremy, lacking Skylar's WhatsApp contact, added her before sending the pictures. There were seven or eight items; she recognized two or three. Someone had previously offered them to her, but she'd refused. One was a bracelet she'd seen Anabelle wearing.

Skylar's gaze turned serious. She immediately called Jeremy back. "These items belong to Anabelle, don't they?" Her tone was questioning, but her statement was certain.

"Yes," Jeremy admitted.

Skylar explained, "These items are problematic. They can confuse the mind; even a slight wavering of willpower allows them to influence you. It's not Anabelle herself, but the items."

Jeremy's expression changed, though Skylar couldn't see it. "So, it's true!" he exclaimed. Anabelle had used these items on him.

"They're like a hallucinogenic drug popular in Murida," Skylar said gravely. "But your willpower was compromised, making you susceptible."

Though Jeremy felt wronged by Anabelle's actions, it also showed his feelings for Natalie weren't as strong as they once were during the period of temptation. Skylar wanted to remind him not to blame Natalie entirely.

After a minute of silence, Jeremy responded heavily, "I'm not making excuses. I made mistakes, but divorce isn't an option. I won't let go and will make it up to her."

Skylar frowned at his firm tone.

"Thank you for the information," Jeremy said, ending the call. He immediately called Tristan. "Bring Anabelle back."
