Joe had Paul drive Skylar's car to the dealership. Skylar then got into Joe's car, the same one from the previous night, driven by Lucas. The only difference was that it was now daytime. Their relationship had become strained.

Once in the car, Skylar said, "Just drop me off at the complex ahead. I have an appointment with Natalie."

Joe raised an eyebrow, his gaze hardening. "Are you trying to avoid me? Don't you want to know why I was at the bar last night, or why that woman said she knew me?" It was obvious to anyone that the woman was interested in him; Joe didn't believe Skylar hadn't noticed.

"If you wanted to tell me, you would have. If I were to ask rashly, wouldn't I be meddling?" Skylar retorted. Besides, he hadn't even remembered Felicia's name. She sensed from Felicia's reaction that their bar encounter was likely a coincidence. Many people knew Joe, but Joe didn't necessarily know everyone who knew him.

Joe's expression darkened. "You're remarkably calm. Don't forget your status. You're my wife now."

"Why do I feel like you want me to be jealous? I'm not. Are you upset?" Skylar asked thoughtfully.

Skylar wondered if Joe had feelings for her. Her heart skipped a beat as she looked at him.

Joe was taken aback. After a few seconds of silence, he said, "You're overthinking it."

Skylar lowered her gaze. "So, there's really no need for me to ask."

Joe was momentarily speechless.

After they passed an intersection, Skylar said, "Just drop me off here. Natalie lives in this area."

Joe glanced at her, a heavy look in his eyes.

As Skylar got out of the car, Joe called out, "I'll be home tonight."

Skylar hesitated, then nodded. "Alright."

Reaching the complex entrance, she looked back. Joe's car hadn't left; he was still watching her through the lowered window. Their eyes met, and Skylar felt her heart tighten. His gaze seemed full of emotion, but she quickly dismissed it as an illusion. He had no real feelings for her; his concern was merely due to Gloria's influence. She quickly looked down and entered the complex.

After Skylar disappeared, Joe smirked coldly, muttering, "Heartless."

Lucas, startled, wondered what was going on between Joe and Skylar. They had gotten along well before, but lately, they seemed to clash constantly.

"Head to Pearlhall Residence first, then back to the Galaxy Villa," Joe instructed.

"Understood," Lucas replied.

As Skylar entered the elevator, she checked Facebook. Felicia's top post was an apology. Her fans' comments were overwhelmingly positive, praising Felicia for taking responsibility. Her handling of the situation further boosted her popularity. Skylar admitted that people in the entertainment industry were adept at managing their public image.

Felicia, having just finished an event, saw that Adele had hired online influencers to promote her on Facebook, boosting her popularity further after the accident. While happy, she couldn't shake her dissatisfaction. Joe's attitude that day had left her embarrassed. She wondered if he genuinely didn't remember her or if he'd been acting in front of Skylar.

"I did some checking," Adele said. "There's a D-list actor named Charles Sullivan, who's Skylar's brother. Coincidentally, he's the third male lead in your next project."
